QUOTE(ZK-KAG @ Aug 5 2007, 11:20 AM) Nice work Raj!!! Havnt seen you around here in ages, and you take some fantastic shots! /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Love the Garuda paint, I reckon that should be their permanent scheme /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> Well it wouldn't look exactly like that. That one doesn't have scorch marks or bloodstains. Who in their right mind would let Garuda get their hands on one of ther a/c? Awesome shots btw! Lots of...

Its a EH-101 used by the RAF, Royal Navy, Italian Air Force & Navy, Portuguese Air Force, Canadian Armed Services, Japanese Maritime Defence Force and the Royal Danish Air Force (as pictured here) and also on order for the US Marines (for Presidential Transport). Built by Agusta Westland (the Anglo/Italian Helicopter company). It is larger than the NH-90 and smaller than a Chinook and has three engines. The USMC examples will be built by Lockheed. Ah, cheers for the info. I recognise the name but like I said I'm not a big helicopter buff.

Thanks for the comments Ofcourse it's a A300. A typo-error from my side(has been edited now). Wrote the topic 20 minutes past midnight so was not thinking very well. The blurry effect is made due to a very long shutter-speed. I think some of the pictures has up to 1/15 second in shutter-speed. And as you can se. By using a good lens and a good camera you can get some really interesting pictures.

We were supposed to make the trip down to NZJO after spending the night in NZTG but ditched our plans and headed back to NZHN instead. We worked at our own Open Day and then the following week at Taupo's Open Day so we figured a relaxing weekend with a Beer and BBQ was in order. And we have already been booked to work at Taurangas Open Day some time in July and on the note of Tauranga the new Helipad/Hangar on the Hospital grounds is nearly completed and awaits the rest of the Pads reseal before Liam can move ZK-HZN and his equipment into the new Hangar. SAS was/is (I don't know for the moment) the largest MD-80/MD-90 operator in Europe. To day they have 47 MD-80's flying. 2 of them are flying with the "Star Alliance" livery. The rest of them in the usual SAS colors. As one of my friends said when we had seen the first 4 of them: "I don't want to look at them anymore. I've seen to many of them already!" At that time we have been there for 15 to 20 minutes.

And one on the ferry this morning to Waiheke (not aviation I know, but pwitty) Was that from Half Moon Bay by any chance? It's a loverly ride- and I'd really love to see some Waiheke ferry traffic for my REAL NZ scenery in FS too.. Hmm, no that was heading out from Auckland towards Waiheke Trolly.
