QUOTE (benwynn @ Apr 13 2008, 12:43 PM) Great Shots Ace!! Love the fletcher shot! May I ask, on the second last mustang shot, you have a bit of a Light Flash. Ive seen this done a fair bit, especially on night shots. To do this, do you just need to have a slightly slower Shutter speed, or somthing different? I won't pretend to know my way around cameras. But yes I was using a slower shutter speed at the time and thats what came out. :D And thanks for your comments guys! Heres an old vid of Gene flying the Corsair at Hood one evening (Not too great quality - but as...

QUOTE (jastheace @ Apr 13 2008, 08:07 PM) Plane spotting is pretty good, you can be right at the end on the main runways, you have to know the code or have a pass to get airside, but as an airsider i get to take pics as i am going about the area, i always try and ask the pilots/owners permission before i take pics. the federal police are around all the time and security is around all the time too. i will have to see if i can talk to the owner of the fire bomber, he is restoring a griffin powered spitfire too, will see what i can find!! another Spitty .. Invader .. think i...

I think the Orion is probably Chilean, although I'm sure Gavin can confirm for us. :) Those are all amazing shots, and the same goes for all the ones you posted in the other threads. You're lucky to have such fantastic photo opportunities.

Love the last shot where you can only see one aircraft but two shadows. All of them are desktop background worthy images

Great shots Gavin. Of the first lot, the first and second are my favourite. Of the second, I really like the dove and the DC-3. Cheers Anthony

Looks like a pure-L line-up there. Very nice. Must have take a lot to get yourself to that stage, I tend to sit in the 'just below L' category. I'd move to L if I could justify it, but at this stage I'm not there. As you say, a camera isn't as important as the lens. A camera is basically just a light box whereas the lens does the work.

Gidday Guys, Just got the verdict back for my original shot- Too Much Blue- Of Course, Can be fixed (Or atleast downsized would be enough for another try) And Undersharped, they want more!! They didnt say anything about the shot's "goal" or purpose. What does one think I shud try (Editing Wise) now after getting that feedback? Cheers Ben

Thanks for the link, enjoyed wasting a whole hour :o skipping from one Youtube to another from Trolly's post there. There is a brilliant A340 to be seen there, it looks and behaves like an airliner, not a scale model.

QUOTE Where were you stationed? I was looking out for NZFF t-shirts, but I didn't spot any Reason 1: Peter Vincent managed to score us passes into the VIP Air BP tent Reason 2: I was wearing my jacket over my shirt because it was so bloody cold! :P We were walking around the static displays to begin with though- wish you could have told us you were going so we could have met up. Oh well, there's always 2010!

NZ225- My Dad went a few weeks earlier, and stays there til next monday for the total of a Month- So Yes I went on my own- Not just for the A380, but lets say partly :P Thanks Trolly, Yes- I was also Surprised- Not on the flight, but earlier on. I viewed some images taken from the bottom deck, that looked not so great, as the wing sort of goes up! I had always planned to sit on the top deck anyway. Its really cool having the little pigion hole- Plus quicker boarding/deboarding and a 15m long "private" economy class section. Yeah, as U can see in my last shot with a big scratch-...
