With Reverse Thrust, apparently dash-6 pilots are known to revers the plane in the air and before touch down etc. (I'm pretty sure you can reverse in flight)

Very nice pictures again Gavin. The tinted canopy is pretty cool - it gives the Furio's looks that edge I think.

QUOTE (Trolly @ Jun 24 2008, 10:21 PM) Sounds like a brilliant day, a free flight in control of an aircraft... and free alc... what more does a man need! /cheers1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= cheers1.gif /> You're missing the third point of the triangle, but it was good anyway /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif />

QUOTE (victor_alpha_charlie @ Jun 24 2008, 09:46 AM) Just out of curiosity Gavin, do you do Aviation Photography as a full-time job, or as a bit of a hobby? Would be best described as a part time job now. I spend all of my leave days during a12 month period away taking photos but have a day job to support it as we all know flying is not cheap. I probably spend 20 hours per week on it now doing various things like updating websites, writing stories etc so by the time I do my 50 hours of work it gets a bit tiring by Sunday but well worth it!!!!! Could probably be a...

Thanks for the comments. I knew the moon was there and luckily enough Peter flew right around it. A trick I use is to take photos with both eyes open. Its useful when taking air 2 air photos as you can see what terrain is coming but it does take some practice.

Cool pics - thanks for posting them  As Daniel said, the hump is the aerials and equipment for Live2air, which is live inflight entertainment on Virgin Blue's 737s. It's by Foxtel and Austar, which are the Australian equivalent of Sky.

QUOTE (Florian_S @ Jun 3 2008, 05:44 PM) Sehr Schön!....very nice indeed! A great selection of aircraft there, very sad to hear that the Me-109 had a crash landing :( I think they are only just now completing the repair work on "Red 7" after her severe crash in 2005. The red 7 has crashed again after the repair of the gear. The gear is broken again. That was the first flight after repair. Sorry this is in german

THREAD REVIVE! haha I went out to Motat on the weekend with my father (once you get past a certain age you can no longer refer to your father as Dad ;) ...it was a choice between walking in the park with my Cousins children (which we did for a while anyway) or going to see old machinery ;) ...so off we trotted. We had a quick look at the various exhibits in Motat 1, including the beautifully restored double beam engine/pump that provided Aucklanders with pressured water for the first time in 1877..and then had another look since we missed the tram to Motat 2 (the aviation part). When we...
