More superlative shots Gav! What a machine to see fly....and please let us know what you think of her from a passenger's point of view compared to -TAF /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />. Nice to see under the hood at last, too: I've long wondered what the Falconer looks like.

QUOTE (waka172rg @ Oct 11 2008, 08:28 AM) nice shots i like 2 and 4! did they do any low approach over shoots? I didnt see any overshoots etc but these take offs were quite impressive. QUOTE (Airtrainer @ Oct 12 2008, 11:17 AM) Great pics, what shutter speed did you use to capture the prop like that in pictures 1 and 3? pretty sure they were around 1/60 and camera was hand held. QUOTE (Q300 @ Oct 12 2008, 10:56 PM) Great photos as usual Gavin! They seem to have a certain atmosphere about them, The last three almost look like fiji or something during the...

QUOTE (FlyingKiwi @ Oct 15 2008, 03:21 AM) TZR is a great looking aircraft, I've seen it at Ardmore a few times, although not recently. I agree, its a great colour scheme. The aircraft only has 700 hours on the clock but that will grow quickly from here on in.

QUOTE (FlyingKiwi @ Oct 15 2008, 10:32 PM) Wow, Omaka looks different to when I was last there - it was all brown! I was really surprised as well. Was my first flight for a few weeks and yip, it is really green but that will change when summer arrives.

QUOTE (waka172rg @ Oct 8 2008, 03:14 PM) does the hunter no longer fly in nztg? my mates x her uncle use to fly it there when i was doing my training years agao. I believe it's become too expensive to keep it going, so it's just kept in the museum now. A shame, but at least it will be kept in good condition in case someone one day wants to return it to the air.

The A380 really is big. I see what you mean about the tail too. I think Qantas' new livery looks pretty good, especially on the A380. Cool pics again Ben /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif />

Love the C-17 negative spaces and light... BTW there is a CAP pic of a Herk cockpit...is it stitched together from 2 or more, can't figure out what the copilot's arm is up to!

Still my fave plane of all time. I hope to fly in one before they all leave Perth as well. Qantas had a few here, but they replaced them with the flying - phalic (sp) symbol. National Jet still flies them though.

QUOTE (Yak52aholic @ Sep 3 2008, 07:21 PM) I think they sandblasted the rivets and made them useless for flying. Oh yup.. So they'd just fall out aye? /rolleyes.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= rolleyes.gif /> /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Have to admit I did actually laugh after reading that. Cheers for the chuckle, I needed it. It's just the same as any other derelict aeroplane- it's just the fact heaps of money would be needed to restore and go over the airframe and fix the damage time...
