QUOTE (dharris @ Dec 3 2008, 02:47 AM) It would depend on "how far back" the backseat is. Wouldn't want you to scrape your behind on the vert stab. Nice shot of the aircraft, specially like the Dc-3. To bad no Connies Aye? It's just behind the front seat.. Awesome shots as usual Gavin!

QUOTE (Gavin Conroy @ Nov 25 2008, 08:52 PM) very nice indeed, well done that man, and you have just goota love sunsets like that. There wasnt much to do at night -(for my trade any way) during our field phase, so I took photos. I managed to slip my tripod into my equipment pack up which helped for the low light photos. There was a bush fire raging for most of the day in our area so I new the sunset would be quite good. Trev

QUOTE (Charl @ Nov 23 2008, 06:41 PM) I know the manouevre - still worried... Numbering from nearest to furthest away: what did #5 do immediately after? And did this all look like a planned execise?? /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> EDIT: OR, is #5 actually in front? in which case, don't mind me... number 5 is in the front and should be pulling up to go vertical. from the way you have numbered them, looking downwards at the aircraft, before the manouver, they should look like this... -4---------3---------5---------2---------1...

QUOTE (dbcunnz @ Nov 17 2008, 12:01 AM) About 7 years ago the Discovery TV crew filmed quite a few hours of the Camel and Fokker D1 Triplane doing aerial combat over Omaka I don't know what became of it as I haven't seen the the movie they made. The Camel was flown by Gene De Marco and John Lennon was flying the Fokker. I remember seeing and hearing that flight. The Camel was so high you could hardly see it but boy you could hear it. I flew alongside it recently and what a great sound!!! The Camel was flown by Gene De Marco and the Triplane by Stuart Tantrum. Some...

QUOTE (mustang808 @ Nov 13 2008, 09:27 PM) Onslow Col mate, Yeah looked very low and seemed to be doing right hand orbit. Made lovely noise which Is why it caught my attention over normal 73's and that. It's hard to beat the Dutch for hospitality. When I lived in the UK, I made frequent volleyballing trips to the Netherlands - they practically threw their daughters at you! Later on, I went to two flight sim multiplayer events - primarily for Flanker - and I'm still in touch with the friends I made there. The events were incredibly well organised and the Dutch were *so generous*. Amazingly, they (the Dutch) say there's nobody as mean as a Dutchman, but I haven't met a mean one yet! That said, I haven't met an un-generous Scotsman either. Beautiful pics,...

There was plastic preventing access to the cockpit, but I have 'flown' the United, Lufthansa and Thai simulators, so it was not so important. Good thing was that there were 3 holes in the plastic so you could still get sharp photos. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Smooth Landings.
