QUOTE (Chairman @ Sep 23 2009, 12:20 AM) I just realised that Dairy Flat is a heck of a lot closer to home than Ardmore. Anyone know what the spotting possibilities are like there ? Gary Depends how busy it is. You get a good view down the runway from the Postman Road, but if you talk nicely to the folks at the aeroclub I'm sure they'll let you take pics from the 'airside' of the aeroclub building. Wilks Road is another alternative but it'd be hard knowing where to stand to get a good view unless the circuit is fairly busy. It's mostly training aircraft with...

Huh... nothing compares to the beauty and simplicity of Active Camera in FS9. What is it with sim developers, that they so badly neglect the very essence of simming, which is to produce a decent screenshot?

A rather unusual attitude for such a low altitude. And the flap selection is also unusual too. I am guessing the plane was too heavy and overloaded with women soccer team and its equipment. Regards, Aharon

Good link, thanks Paul. It did look kind of mothballed on the day. One hopes there is local interest in this one.

Thanks for looking....C-27 is a Spartan. . I always thought these would be a great stopgap between the C-130's and C-17's we could have had. Think of them as an Andover replacement....but that's another conversation.

From what I've read, the KC-135Rs were on something like a farewell tour to all the places that have been visited by them. With the KC-46 Pegasus slowly taking over the tanker role, that wouldn't surprise me.

Regarding the 135's, amazing they have a combined age of 122 years, 58, and 64. Boeing really build/built good stuff.

Lovely photos Charl, thanks for sharing! For those interested: both the P-40 and P-51D are for sale. Good to see the Strikemaster back in camo, it spent some time as a lime green advertising hoarding... Different Blunty - that was NZ6370/ZK-STR .

Do you mind (and a credit will be given) if I include a few of your shots on a calendar I'm working on. Please do! I'd love to see it (if I'm not too late).
