Thanks Radar88 and Splitpin for all kind answers, explantions, and hyperlinks. Radar88, I already saw those videos before. I was trying to find specific RAF DC-3s/C-47s that Aussie pilots and NZ pilots flew in Berlin Airlift. I guess it is not going to happen as you said it would be impossible. Regards, Aharon

Well my last two PC's did not have optical drives. The Warehouse recently announced they would no longer sell DVD's. Probably a good thing. Someone has calculated that there's about 20 Zettabytes of data stored on Planet Earth. (It goes: Kilo, Mega, Giga, Tera, Peta, Exa, Zetta) The stack of DVD's required for that would circle the earth 25 times. My CD rack won't do. So it'll be up to the likes of Microsoft and Oracle to keep the stuff alive in their Clouds. Hope they look after everything OK.

"they really did seem to care." Charl, they probably did, but that was last century. Today, you would just be "too hard in 13A" Old Reg got a bit careless, and suffered a very public backdown  This is from the Flight Attendants Association of Australia webpage Passionately serving you 1975: “The Old BoilersDispute” began over poor pay and the push for recognition of the primarily safety related role of flight attendants. Reg Ansett insulted the Unionists calling them “glorified waitresses” and the Union Executive “Old Boilers”. The outraged hostesses voted to strike...

No way are rivets $2 each. Try about US$30 to US$85 per pound of rivets, depending on size.

"Walked away from another one, Simon" The other day when cleaning out old and obsolete bric a brac, I came across a CD I burned from FS2004: ACOF. In it, I had duplicated the CHCH - ZQN flight and overlaid the RW sound track. My greatest movie moment was seeing the final render emerge after 8 hours on my hot Pentium 5 :) I probably uploaded the thing to Botophuket which as we know is kaput. Ah well, memories are made of this.

I have a soft spot for them too. I guess because I learnt my trade on them at 4TTS back in 1986 as a trainee aircraft mechanic. Later in 1998-2002 I was instructor at the school using the same airframes! I also got to fly in a civilian one ZK-KTT (ex NZ1808) a few times. Very smooth to fly in !! Thanks for looking and sharing the memories Deane.

It does not matter Quite right, but it's fun walking the walk with Radar and playing the numbers! As to the parade on the wings, 140 blokes is about the same weight as the aircraft, so if it could stay up while inverted, it could carry the meatload :)
