Just saw your FB wall and that is lots of impressive photos of birds!! Not easy to capture small birds in motion action. I cannot even capture simple photo of a car or a running person in motion action!! Yikes you did not tell us you broke your arm in motorcycle accident!! Wishing you speedy and comfy recovery!!!!! Since you have one healthy arm, I think you can fly on flightsimming :D :D :D Regards, Aharon Thanks Aaron, it was actually a Mountain Biking accident - the bike stopped and laid down on the track, but I kept going ... Yes, I can fly the Flight Sim now but the 1st week i couldn't...

Thanks guys, it's nice to be remembered and nicer still to be here to appreciate it! :D I have to admit to being a little surprised about my age as my mind keeps thinking I'm much younger' however, when I crash my mountain bike my body is quick to complain and reminds me that it's going to take longer to heal than when I was younger :-)

Good on ya Nick :) I was visiting my doctor, who was doing a Johnny Cash impersonation, even though she is not the father of Sue. But I can raise a glass to you today  Have a great one. When I turned 36 I organised a big 'Over-the-hill' party, for the many friends whom I could not accommodate in the tiny flat where I lived at the time. Ten years later I moved from PK to Bris-bunn and they were still talking about it  ATB, MikeW

I am really touched having contributed to showing that photo again. BTW, I have a collection of photos of flightsim developers/forum contributors from several fora I have fond memories of. Kind regards, Michael

Yes a very cool subject. He is a NZ aviation legend. Some of his long distance delivery/record flights must have relied on the curvature of the earth to get airborne. I started my initial flight training in Victa Airtourers. That was with Airline flying club based at both Ardmore and Auckland. A fun machine. Auckland aero club used to have 13 of them on their flight line at one stage. They were painted every colour of the rainbow. An impressive sight. It was said that the canopy contributed up to a 1/3 of the overall lift and that this should be considered before flying with it open. Tried it...
