Thanks Ian,............ tried to capture the feel of the place as best as i could, and it fits into the photoreal quite nicely. QUOTE (ctcav8r @ Apr 30 2009, 11:18 PM) Just wondering if anyone could explain the RWY12 side of this airfield? Just not familiar with using the RWY12 objects. I have downloaded everything needed (all objects listed in Readme file) I initially had RWY12 installed on my computer when I did a Windows reinstall. Funnily enough when I reinstalled Windows it was still there in C:\.. so not sure whether it is partially installed or what? But then I was reading the Readme file and it said you don't actually need the RWY12 program itself just the object libraries... So this is where...

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Apr 28 2009, 08:05 AM) Very nice. Should make FS9 sing! You need a Cray to get FSX to work maxed out. FS9 sings along quite nicely with everything maxed out on what ive got now. Be intersting to see how X does go on the new one though,................ once i actually get around to putting X it.......... QUOTE (cowpatz @ Apr 24 2009, 10:34 PM) Lawrie as your scenery wonders occupy most of my hard drive are there any that need altering to accommodate the 20m mesh? ALL my NZ sceneries are designed and built for the 20m mesh.

QUOTE (atc_unit @ Apr 15 2009, 09:55 PM) Any chance of a VATSIM friendly Invercargill? All scenery addons to date seem to put the NAVAIDs and the runways in the incorrect place. I can get images VERY easily considering I work and fly there everyday /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Ive never considered NZNV, as im quite happy with the version i have of it by Ian Warren and Murray Hall. Ive never had any problems with it, least of all Runways etc in the wrong places................. I'll consider it,................ ive placed it on my...

QUOTE (Snowman @ Mar 24 2009, 04:03 PM) Thanks for the link to the article about the runway,........ i did come across this article when i was researching the airport and looking for pics. Following is a pic I took as we flew into the Island. The strip you see (which Lawrie will know about) is the old WW-II era runway built for American bombers to use. Has a surface that seems to be made of sea-shells and concrete, musta been hell on the tires /blink.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= blink.gif /> The new active sealed runway goes along the spit at the top...

It works in FSX! I copied the whole Static Library from FS9, and removed the tree-files from the scenery as described above. With Airport Design Editor (ADE) I did some little corrections (apron, runway) and I had to inactivate "Auckland Airports". Unfortunately now there is no military traffic (it´s to difficult for me), with ADE I put only some fighters on the apron. sandman

QUOTE (Trolly @ Feb 19 2009, 09:46 PM) Some Rarotonga guys from my flying school told me that Mauke Island was one of the best places in the Cooks to go on holiday, and they'd managed to jumpseat there free of charge last year! I'll ask them if they use FS and link 'em to this post if they do- bet they would love it. Good work Lawrie /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif /> Hi Andrew, If they do FS,... you might want to tell them that in order for the sceneries to work, they will first need to have Christian's...
