Already commented on the livery... :P But seeing those DAK's parked up in the third to last shot reminds me of your little project you once announced! When are they being released to the public?? Dont worry Andrew,......... the Daks (and other piston-prop oldies) are coming. Have patience my friend, they will appear next year. Just finishing off our Cargo, Freight, and Post package, which will be out within the next week or so, then a break for Christmas. Two more packs to come starting next year. Lawrie. >nzflag<
Unfortunately, it's pure fiction. <_< Ahhhhhhhhh, would be nice if it was indeed real. But, alas, twas not to be........................ NAC didnt have enough forsight,..................... but we did  Lawrie >nzflag<
Wasn't the runway shorter then? Also, remember the Sunderland that did a low flyover during the opening of Rongatai and touched the runway. It landed safely, but immediated settled in the water. A Sunderland also hit a reef in the Waitangi (Chathams) lagoon, was holed and partially sank. The main fuselage (dunno about the wings) was still on the island when I was there in '68, but I never got a chance to see it. I think a family was using it for storage on their (nearby) farm. Prior to SAFE, flights to and from Chats were by RNZAF Sunderland, later RNZAF BF170s ( ?!) and even...
well I'm all for you getting sidetracked Lawrie :D You always keep on coming up with something better that we all enjoy  ( Just practicing my grovelling) Thanks for the compliments Neil. Greatfully accepted. What possible reason could you have for wanting to practice your grovelling skills ?? This sounds a bit suspect..............  Lawrie. >nzflag<
If anyone has some images that they could share, that'd be great. I'd love to paint it accurately Great (fictional?) paint on the Courier scheme by the way! Hi Andrew. Yes, we have all the different paint schemes of the Airfreight NZ CV-580s for the 2nd release, and the Air Chathams CV-580s will appear in the 3rd release. We could tone down the "Flying Light Bulb" a litttle, if thats what people want... Lawrie. >nzflag<
Here's a list of config stuff that I use. I delete a lot of the lines that aren't needed for AI aircraft. This is about all I include in my AI entries...but you can do what you want. :) <----change this number by 1 for each additional repaint ( , etc.) title= AI F-27A MNL-Miniliner I-MLQT <--This is the line that goes in the flightplans aircraft.txt file sim=AI F-27A <---this must match the .air file in the main aircraft folder texture=MNL-Miniliner I-MLQT <---this must match the texture folder for your repaint or it wont show up in your sim atc_airline=Miniliner...
Hi Andrew. Not surprising you havnt seen the Polar aircraft in NZAA. It was back in the 80s. Lawrie. And,...yes Andrew, they will be added to the project in the next release. The next release is all Cargo, Post and Freight haulers.
Another great collection Lawrie- thank you for sharing your work :D By the way, please tell me where I can find this Mount Cook HS.748 that everyone is talking about? It looks amazing! Andrew,.......... You can find the HS748 on Rick Piper's site......... Its an incdredibly well detailed FSDS3 model. Lawrie.
Well, i can say i HAVE flown on a B170 Farter, ....oops .... i mean freighter. Twice even. Horrible, noisy, smelly, slow old thing that they were, but they did a wonderful job for so loooooooooooong. Lawrie.
Im one of those "sleepless" ones as you called it. I lost a sister on flight TE901, and one other of our project group lost a best friend on it....... So its kinda close to home for a few reasons........ Lawrie. >nzflag<
