on the same island that i took my previously posted tornado photo's, there were "several bits n pieces" of one of these lying around. apparently the old boy of the family was a bit of a ham radio buff and used to play a bit of mischief with the argies........ until they triangulated him, paid a visit, gave him a kicking and smashed all his kit. trust me, he was tough as old nails but he didn't have a good word to say about the whole scenario 15 odd years later

I actually decided to risk it, despite the questionable reviews here and elsewhere. /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Note: I have Area51's AH-1 Cobra (not the Marine Venom later model) and the OH-58 Kiowa Warrior, so I had a decent idea of what to expect, and was familiar with the need to map a few extra basic functions on the joystick. Overall, after I tweaked some things, I am in fact enjoying it. What I tweaked: Beacon lights...classified the top two as beacon designation rather than nav so they come on with the beacon switch...instead of...

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Jan 22 2013,6:38 AM) Thanks for the HU Matt , i have not got the chookie yet , do you no if the SP would be built into the latest d/loads ? the latest download should have the service pack already a part of it, I suggest if your thinking about getting it, go via milviz at least you get a 30day money back guarantee, unlike nemeths 14 day and thats if they reply to your request

QUOTE (Charl @ Jan 10 2013,8:11 AM) Neat! What format are you painting in? I'd like to get my hands on that repaint in 1024x1024 16 bit Thats good cause thats what I'm doing it in /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Wish Carenado had produced there texture bigger than 1024 x 1024 to stop the fuzzies I checked all of the 206 default Carenado textures and they are all fuzzy up close, but I am happy with the way they have turned out another night on this and I will be all done PM me your email and I will send you the paint.

QUOTE (deeknow @ Jan 9 2013,12:28 AM) Seems like a pretty good model of the Wellington from Justflight too, anyone got that? is it the model done by First-Class-Simulatons or the Halycon guys, or are they the same? I do have the First Class Simulation Wellington , its good in respect it makes you feel as if you in a pre war bomber .. but they never seem to finish parts .. example move forward and the propeller hubs float mid air .. that sorta thing . their Lancaster is a little better ... just don't touch the Sunderland ! .. thats a shocker .

QUOTE (lowglow @ Jan 1 2013,3:49 PM) I see on the NZFSIM site that there are DDS files available but the link is dead, can anyone shine a light on the availability and are they really any better than the BMP files? Well just as a bit of an exercise I have installed both the BMP and the DDS versions of the NZ repaints to compare quality and I can report that I see no difference at all

Poor old Japanese did'nt have a chance once the US steamroller got going with their new aircraft designs , the Tigercat alone but look at the Ventura/Harpoon replacement the Neptune .... even the Vertura with its uncanny way of it to shoot its way out off trouble with even a well known attack by nine Zeros .... but in the European theater lucky 487 had the Mosquito replace em after loosing an entire flight of the early Venturas .
