There are some lovely aircraft available from Flightsim.com 'Hot files from yesterday" section. The Cessna 206 and the Piaggio trainer(don't forget the fix as well) and the Spanish Eurocopter 135 are all very well done. It seems with FSX so close alot of people have pulled finger to release what they have spent hours on before it becomes obsolete. It sure will be interesting how many people will still do excellent FS9 work. I suppose if you are an aircraft purist and are not too concerned with all the eyecandy of FSX then FS9 will be quite satisfactory. The more time I spend with...

Sadly when the Defualt 172 is painted one side will be revesed sine theyr one sided textures, I tried with the ardmore 172 but it looks prety bad on one side , all the words are backwards To be honest the only thing that wouldnt be right is the RNAC letters on the tail and with a small thing like that, i couldnt be bothered whinging about it.

Your query about the Poly and the keen interest in Deanes Fletcher that he is developing has got me thinking (again) I exist purely to inspire! But that would be terrific, and a fine idea! So how do you make FS sounds? Interesting.....

Maybe a James Aviation (Hamilton) repaint in there somewhere for the Fletcher Deane ?? Lawrie. I'm only doing current schemes so can leave that to the re-painters. From a detail point of view - I don't think James flew any 950M models. The 950M had a streamlined nose cowl and aileron end plates, which took it up to the same state as the later 954's which were factory built with those features. The 954s had a large cargo door and a window on each side of the fuse as well, but not all 950M's were modified with these. And you thought a Fletcher was a Fletcher !!!...

mm so a few did have Flags on them , does anyone know what the the white circle is and the white bird shape, are they the merger airlines ... err TEAL and NAC. Indeed they are the old TEAL and NAC logos On 1985/86 fleet list ,these 4 were listed NAE 'Pourourou' along with the 1st NAC NAJ NAM where as sold , maybe reason for the flag. :ph43r:

I have Carenado's 206 and there are at least two NZ repaints including a Wanaka Sight Seeing scheme and Sounds Air (pictures on this forum). Both are great repaints and I can highly recommend the 206 as a package. Both repaints are on Avsim. Good price too although you need the full package for the Sounds Air scheme as it needs the cargo model. Carenado's 182 would also be the way to go as it comes with an NZ scheme (ZK-SAR - Coastguard) based at Ardmore. Cheers Naki

Hmmm, 19 dollars EACH, so to get both the standard and the ultimate you're talking 38. I have bought the "Ultimate" and already I am thinking I regret it. Oh, it flies OK, but on my PC and "out of the box" the ground steering is terrible, as are the rollouts on landing. The fligt model appears OK. It's enough, just, to keep me interested and want to try using this plane some more. First taste at landing (without an RTFM yet) was a nightmare - doesn't want to slow down easy... Tried spinning and stuff. Seems like it will be possible. Vertical stall turn is not...
