yes I have seen some pretty cool videos of the things getting tossed about in the wind, they seem to handle it well I guess that is why they use alot of them in the Azores.

QUOTE (hasegawa @ Mar 8 2008, 11:01 AM) Yes, the work is in progress and the last word is not spoken about this PBY, but I hope, this is in the same range like the Twin Otter. Aerosoft has worked at the PBY for 2 1/2 years... but at the end of the last year it was "FS X" only... In the Ukraine the FS X is not very popular, because, nobody has the right hardware. Time to fly a AN124 into New Zealand to load it up with some new PC hardware for ya  This is an emergency ! No Airdrop

Yeah I was reading a bit about the concept, and one of the issues was the huge amount of power it takes to get out of the water, to maintain WIG (Wing In Ground) effect lift. You'd think they might have tried a hydrofoil solution though??

Always liked PSS, don't know where they have ended up. PSS made the best panels and there aircrafts were the best too. Never been that impress with PMDG panels to be honest, there panel/gauge bitmaps have always been pretty crappy for a payware company. Its ashame because everything else like aircraft models are fantastic. Really like Flight 1's Super 80 (love the MD-80 and DC-9) and Wilcos 737pic - which is cool to fly the older 737's and Level-d 767.

As far as I'm concerned the Buecker is great to look at, and great to fly, but a right bloody nightmare to land. According to the data in load up it's meant to cruise at 175 KPH but seems to reach 200 while climbing out from take-off, makes a Cessna seem pretty gutless. Four almost perfect landings, (by my standards anyway) were followed by violent veering to the right and a big A over T ending. I need to go away and think about this. Half my fleet are "tail-draggers" and I thought I had the technique worked out. If this was a German training plane, it may have had some...

Jan Kees thanks for the links, very interesting to compare the FS models' cockpits with the real thing: (and what a coincidence to take from the same angle!) Miss Torque is on the HDD thank you very much, glad you went with the black accent lines. The intrepid Kiwi photographers are out there at the airshows, this very moment, producing lots of lovely repaint material!

Not too sure what is causing your problem - I am currently re doing the 400 hp Fletcher to make it compatible with FSX SP2 and Acceleration as well as FS2004 gauges. I hit 2650 at full throttle. Have you checked the prop lever setting ?? Also look at the aircraft.cfg file. Under the section it should read max_rated_rpm=2650.000000 Hope this helps Deane

QUOTE (Trolly @ Feb 7 2008, 11:51 PM) If you're talking about Deanes Fletcher, then find the ' ' section of the aircraft.cfg and increase the 'cruise_speed' value, ie: cruise_speed= 116.000 to cruise_speed= 126.000 You might find theres a bit more to it than just that. I think the speeds are affected by drag co-efficients and power. Speed wobbles possibly addressed by having more vertical tail area. The flight dynamics of aircraft are quite difficult to get set up and fine tune. Deane
