Great link...despite the incredibly cheesy scripting I now feel totally ready to jump straight back in the Marauder and take off, knowing exactly how to deal with a rogue runaway propeller! Checklists were real life savers - invented for the B-17 if I recall? Now where's that maintenance document...ah here we go: Problem: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacing.......... Solution: Almost replaced left inside main tyre. Problem: Test flight OK except auto-land is very rough....... Solution: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid=...

Ideal for that route , having the Convairs in use the 5800 type especially puts thought why we have not seen the L188 being used here . looking forward to take these out

QUOTE (brausch @ Aug 30 2010, 11:23 AM) thanks Marty, no I appreciate his wishes for it not to be distributed as things can snowball rapidly,..I think for any more of us to pester him further might be foolish I'll just be patient and hope he will make it available sometime in the (not too distant lol) future /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> . Either you can find a program called DXTBMP on Simviation.com or send the bmps to me and ill remove the mips and send em back to ye.. I will email them to you Adrian.....i downloaded that...

By low on numbers I meant Ian and I and sometimes Blake /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> but it would be great to have you join in. We use TS for comms (atl01.bargainvoice.com:7890) and use FSX multiplayer for the the multiplays. There are no set times, its just when there are a few people on TS and we feel like a multiplay.

QUOTE (gojozoom @ Aug 28 2010, 09:25 AM) Valid point...however after I purchased the model the first thing I did was to install an EGT gauge, so I could find the ideal mixture in every situation. Adrian's solution worked very well. I was trying different settings, but the 1.2 was the best. More than that was pretty unrealistic. Thanks for your input guys, my C140 is a perfect machine now. /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif /> Glad I could be of help /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

Love that 3rd shot in the set of 4 - reminds me of a BF sneaking up on a bunch of Japanese in some remote corner of the Pacific (pine trees in the background notwithstanding...) - I remember their name for the BF was "whispering death"! /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> I doubt that was because it was all nice and fluffy... /ninja.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :ph43r: border= 0 alt= ninja.gif />

Books like the 'B17 at WAR','The Mighty Eighth ''The Mighty Eighth Warpaint & Heraldry' By Roger A Freeman ,the Aircam B17 series , you really get to learn this aircraft . If your not sure about its history , a movie just recent based on an earlier variant ... 'Memphis Belle' would give you the feeling , this "A Bit O Lace" Supreme , Thanks Jan /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif />

QUOTE (Albatross @ Aug 17 2010, 11:35 PM) I've not bothered with a Captain Sim version as I'm so impressed with Level D. Easy repaint installs, easy payload config manager. Flies great, fully functional and accurate. Easy on the FPS too which is important! In all respect s , Alister covered the operations , the LD 76 cannot be surpassed , i have both .. Capt Sim is ideal for the ones who do not want the fully functional cockpit , the sound package is better , Capt Sim copies many systems - the one thing CS offers is a lot off ramp and main't features like covers and...
