QUOTE (JonL @ Apr 20 2009,6:31 PM) Non of the Hudsons in NZ are airworthy - unfortunately most had the wings torched off through the main spar, inboard of the engines. To get one back in the air would (among other things) require a new main spar which runs from engine to engine, through the fuselage. Not impossible, but..... ...going to happen nonetheless... According to Classic Wings magazine a number of months ago, the owners of the Avro Anson that is being restored (hopefully) in time for Classic Fighters this easter, also own a Hudson that they intend to restore. Great resource...

QUOTE (bobby48w @ Mar 16 2011,4:04 AM) Found it okay thanks very much but it only worked for me in FSX after I altered the FS 2004 aircraft cfg included in the download, to the following: Changed TITLE= to FSX DH89 NAC From FS9 Changed SIM= to Rapide v3 From v2 Changed DESCRIPTION= deleted all the text following. (This may not be necessary but I did it anyway) And of course changed the #fltsim 2 to the next available number ( in my case it was fltsim 15) Trust this might be helpful to anyone else wanting to include it in their FSX Rapide skins and having trouble with it not loading...

Hmmmm. Russell doesn't really have the temperament to be a tripod for the camera! Photos from MOF uploaded to the NZ Aviation Photography forum. WWI and the Evergreen Museum (including Spruce Goose) to come.

It's not just the 727 either, the 757 base pack is half price and the expansion pack is 5 euro off, and the C-130 is half price with all expansion packs 20 euro off!

There has been an FSX port over, it fixes gauges and transparency issues, that should work.

Not a bad little read that book, Ewan certainly paints a pretty bleak view of the realities of running an airline against the big boys There's a nice shot of the 757 in that Kiwi liver on airliners.net following;

QUOTE (Cbris @ Mar 10 2011,10:01 AM) Another option is to draw vector lines. Yep - vectors and seperate layers are the key! Using PSPX, I usually create all kinds of lines as vectors (straight or curved), duplicate them to a pixel layer and do all the cutting stuff with the pixels. The untouched vector layers make great backups in case I mess up. Having the lines on seperate layers makes turning, shifting and changing their colours very easy! Cheers, Markus.

QUOTE (dbcunnz @ Feb 24 2011, 09:23 PM) Hi Dean where is the VC for us guys that fly on 3 monitors? No point in spending a lot of time making a Virtual Cockpit for an outdated model !! If I was to tackle it it would be the wjhole lot. ANd yes typically the VC is more time consuming than the external model as there is generally more animating to be done, as well as custom gauges if you want to include that side of it too.

The problem is solved. I have no idea why, but it is solved. My first atempt was to install the aircraft from my CD-Version. This one was from Just Flight... and it doesn´t work without and with the Patch ... The second atempt was the VersionI had as one of the first customers online via Wilco. The version I had stored on my extern harddrive does not work... Third atempt, new and fresh download from Wilco... sorry... and reinstall of the newest registred version of fsuipc.dll... now it worked! But I have no idea what happend. I have "flown" the aircraft meanwhile 10 hours and...

JAN ! how you touch New Zealand so well , i was at Wanaka when , Ray/Mark ? Hanna took this 51 to 12 to 13,000 feet only to dive it past the crowd line in a attempt to break the sound barrier , happened to be the same year Chuck Yeager visited the show /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> , i think its time you start buying some , Least the RealNZ Wanaka , it would suit this paint to a 'T' and a 'P' /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif />

See auction here I know what you mean by the gaudy cockpit colour the russians favour, its not quite that bad, but still quite a bold blue!

QUOTE (dbcunnz @ Feb 20 2011, 03:40 PM) The Argosy was never used as a shed it was bought from SAF and turned into a tourist attraction at a cafe opposite Woodbourne airport. Yes it could be called an AG plane if you call transporting animals as it has carted horses cattle and sheep as cargo on the odd occasions. You're thinking of ZK-SAE, ZK-SAF, the one that had a landing gear failure at Woodbourne, was "scrapped except for fuselage and center section on wheel which is used for storage on a farm next to Woodbourne Airfield," from the book Safe in the Skies. /smile.gif...

Very nice website. Skycrane is mis-labelled though. The military model they have done is the CH54A as they say, but the civvy model they have done is the S64F not E. Main visual difference with the CH54B/S64F are the dual mainwheels, and a different main rotor head. Nice looking 64F though! Registration is not right either. Malcolm (the name is on the nose) is a 64F but is registered N217AC not N189AC which is the registration on the Nemeth model. N189AC is actually a 64E named Gypsy Lady. I'm being pedantic though /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt=...

QUOTE (Olderndirt @ Feb 16 2011, 03:52 PM) Look at the Just Flight Hurricane - part of their Battle of Britain trio. All three are made by Aeroplane Heaven and IMHO are great. The Spit doesn't have all the bells and whistles of A2A and there may be a better 109 out there, but their Hurricane is the class act of FSX. +1 on this comment. the Just Flight Hurricane is a cracker of an aircraft for FSX.
