Hi all, Another, non-Kiwi request. I've been having a ton of fun flying the Tim Conrad-designed, Michael Pook-updated XP-40Q (fsx_curtissp40q.zip on FlightSim.com) but the schemes are total fiction. Is there anyone who would be eager to replicate the real XP-40Q2's civilian scheme as below? NX300B by Zac Yates , on Flickr AMTech box art (unreleased) by Zac Yates , on Flickr Draw Decal 1/48 by Zac Yates , on Flickr XP-40Q Taichiro Yamashita profiles by Zac Yates , on Flickr XP-40Q Taichiro Yamashita top by Zac Yates , on Flickr XP-40Q Taichiro Yamashita bottom by Zac Yates , on Flickr XP-40Q...

There are many variations of style in the repaint world. Designers with big ego's will repaint a bog standard B737 and insert in the ui manufacturer field something like "Imogen G Huffnikar". You go searching under Boeing in FS and get mightily disappointed that there's no shiny new aircraft awaiting. Installer packages are the worst since you have no control over the process and where the files go. I generally take a dummy run in my downloads folder first, to see what the dam' thing is doing. And I have taken another tack in transferring the info into my FS folders....

Ang on, ang on a mo... Adam, where did you get that Mt Cook Dak paint? I've been looking for ages but for P3D ....sorry to divert the thread. If this repaint can work in FSX, I want that repaint too Here is my repaint request from 2 years ago or so: Regards, Aharon Aharon, I think from now on we should post repaint requests in the right place. My bad for starting it here sorry. This is a whole new area Adam has been working on, and he wont need the distraction...again , my bad and apologies to all.

Aharon, some real historical stuff there. I really wish I could run FS9 again. I have 99% of the Alphasim content saved, I can't bear to dump it....my happiest simming days were in that sim. Alphasim was delivering something new almost on a daily basis at one stage.

Thanks for the tips. The purchase will come, but I'll still scrape together some money. Easter brought no eggs and no Easter bunny, but a sadly bleeding piggy bank. That needs to be fixed first. As a German pensioner, you save yourself from one hole to the next. B-)

You can use Limestone Downs in MSFS, although I haven't flown in there myself yet.

That's good news, what about scenery addons - transplantable? Photoscenery and elevation files for AFS2 can be used directly in AFS4. The cultivation and object files, which provide the autogen buildings, lights etc and landmark features, are not compatible and need to be run through a converter. That part of the AFS4 SDK is still WIP, but it's coming along. That said, there is already a lot of cultivation in the default AFS4, but so far not much down our way. I am waiting for the new AFS4 SDK so I can rework my Chathams scenery, especially the airport.

This aircraft has its origins in the Fieseler Storch and the Jakowlew Jak 12 and with these it has the slats and thus the STOL capabilities in common. With the Wilga I dare to go to former airfields, where it gets tight with a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. But she is slow and thirsty. Thanks for the hint. So it's no crime if I fly around New Zealand with it. :D
