Hi all, Another, non-Kiwi request. I've been having a ton of fun flying the Tim Conrad-designed, Michael Pook-updated XP-40Q (fsx_curtissp40q.zip on FlightSim.com) but the schemes are total fiction. Is there anyone who would be eager to replicate the real XP-40Q2's civilian scheme as below? Hi Bruce. I am discovering a few buggy bits too. I had a spectacular failure of the VNAV doing a simple RNAV approach into NZWU. Following the GA I could not re-enter the destination NZWU. It came back as not in the database....but, it is. I'm not sure what the best way is to reload an approach. I'll play around with it and watch a few videos. I also noticed that some of the line draws on the ND are missing legs. It seems AF (ARC to FIX) are not draw....at least not on the NZNS 02 RNV app. Some other approach legs don't appear as well, yet the aircraft still tracks them. It's still a fun...

I rented the 2024 version for a day and had some fun but also some reservations. The 2020 model looks better with more muted weathering (the 2024 model looks as though mud's been caked on across all surfaces with the skin very shiny underneath) and has the pilot sitting at the correct height. The sound is fair but with some odd clattering at times (I'd have thought the stock DC-3 sound would work well), and the performance felt even poorer than the type's reputation suggests (but I didn't make any notes of specifics and it's been a while since I flew it). I'd like to get it at some point but...

The Avanti, both the original and this version, are something special. I really like it. There are pictures of flights with this aircraft further up. For example, I enjoy flying it more than the Cessna Citation 3+, which is a solid little jet. But that's like driving a Golf; this one is the Ferrari...

Charls.... ...I must say, I miss the comforting clatter of my 1996 Honda Rebel Cruiser Motorcycle's CMX 250C, twin cylinder, internal/infernal combustion, 4-stroke, petrol engine, which used to take me everywhere around my countryside...including my daily shopping! I am now house-bound, slightly infirm, buried under mountains of Batteries; Tupe C, A, AA, AAA.... ...both dead and rechargeable... ...and Electric Battery Chargers for all my appliances... ....all relying on the Electric Power Company to supply me with their juice, and charge me loadsa money for the privilege... ....! Hello Charl, Have a good time flying her!!! At least virtually... ;) To me the Corsair by Milviz is the best warbird available in MSFS (and I really like the Spit and Hellcat by Flyingiron!) And those sounds... Cheers, Stéph.

Hey DC. Only thing I can ask/suggest is that the flight-plan BGLs you have may have been compiled for P3D or may be a mix of 2004 and FSX BGLs and might not be compatible with FS9. I know on my P3D rig occasionally used to see AI vanish completely and it was coz a recently added BGL had been compiled for an older sim build. You could try opening them using the TTools AIFP.exe and re-compile for FSX at least and see if that works?

There's quite a movement for porting to FS20 from XP/FSX which is cool but ironic, given all the years of disparity and sim enmity. I took it for a spin, pretty innocuous but good externally. It will get some more systems with more community input, which is really good to see. Also: a really clear quick setup document, they should all be like this.

I use the FS 2020 and reject the gluttonous and, in my view, unconvincing FS 2024. The innovations it brings don't justify the switch. At the moment, I have other things to worry about than buying a new computer. That makes A2A superfluous, and I'm concentrating on learning to fly the Beechcraft “Starship I” from Black Square. It completely captivates me and is much more interesting to fly, but complex. The good thing about our hobby is that each of us can make our own decisions of this kind and there are several options for every need and budget.
