I worked as a ground engineer on them for a few years. A great machine from a maintenance point of view. I spent time in CHC for a while, during my engineering apprenticeship, and we would see in NZ227 from AKL, then dispatch it to SYD, and upon it's return send it to AKL as NZ228 (if my memory serves me correctly on the flight numbers). On the DC10-30 the centre main gear could be retracted and extend independently from the other gear. There are lots lots of those new liveries that were never painted before in flight simming history. The liveries were painted by one of most famous repainters by the name of Tony Madge who has been painting liveries for all flight simmers since September 19, 1999 !!!! Aharon, some real historical stuff there. I really wish I could run FS9 again. I have 99% of the Alphasim content saved, I can't bear to dump it....my happiest simming days were in that sim. Alphasim was delivering something new almost on a daily basis at one stage.
