QUOTE (toprob @ Aug 15 2008, 07:55 AM) That looks fine, now just follow the instructions I gave earlier -- to backup the FSX registry, click on the '10.0' entry, go to the file menu, and choose 'export'. This will store the FSX registry away safely so that you can delete it from the registry, and restore (import) it afterwards. Thanks for help. Will give it a go when I am fresh and a bit more alert LOL.

Thanks guys - its FS9 (no FSX version available) and is available at Flight1 and probably at other sim addon sellers - Just a note on the frame rates - although they may look quite bad in some of my shots the my sliders are maxd out, theres plenty of AI (WOAI, HTAI, Ultimate GA), there are addon water & enviroment textures, I was running Active Sky and FRAPS and the Twin Comanche is quite FPS hungry in some views - the scenrey is actually very frame rate friendly

hi and many thanks for quick, and most useful replys ! I am going in search of a bulk file handler lol Much of what I know about the file handling and system architecture of not only the sim , but the system in general is anecdotal. I do some basics OK . Much of what I know about Aviation is purely anecdotal. But I do the basics OK. But I will confess to an animal attraction to a hot ( just used ) P51D and F4U-1a ( isnt the warbirds beasty an FG ? ) And I confess to numerous other Aviational Deviations. Its also very nice to be able to find a forum where I can say a Big Thanks to the...

QUOTE (Mattnz @ Aug 7 2008, 06:13 AM) No, just one is necessary /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> Preferably 20m /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif />. Thanks. I thought each may have had a different effect. I will just install 20m. QUOTE (HardCorePawn @ Aug 7 2008, 06:30 AM) If you install the Red Baron/Sim Pilot Experience 20m Mesh... it actually installs 20m, 40m & 75m mesh data... it uses the appropriate mesh depending on distance from area and visual settings etc etc... Don't...

QUOTE (Snowman @ Jul 27 2008, 03:07 PM) If you have any of my New Caledonia airport sceneries, Vanuatu is a fairly short hop across the ocean from there. I have more New Caledonia Airports to come yet................. Lawrie. /New_Zealand_etc.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= >nzflag< border= 0 alt= New_Zealand_etc.gif /> Well there you go. That's perfect - it gives me a reason to install the rest of your New Caledonia sceneries and these Vanuatu ones. Looks like there might be an excuse to take and post some screenshots too. Good to hear there's more to come...

Thanks Goff, good stuff. After installing, I rushed in to have a look, and clicked on Cape Kidnappers by mistake. For a moment or two (till I sorted out my muckup) I thought you might have had to go back to the drawing board.... /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> All sorted now and pleased to have filled another hole in the Microsoft default scenery desert. /New_Zealand_etc.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= >nzflag< border= 0 alt= New_Zealand_etc.gif /> Have yet to have a decent fly around but it looks pretty good to me.....tks again....

QUOTE (creator2003 @ Jul 17 2008, 03:26 AM) Well seeing you can build models are you using Gmax ... Actually I'm not building my own models. Everything I have done has been with default objects I found when I opened the stock airport. I have tried gmax but have found not extremely difficult but once I make the basic building I don't know how to compile or add textures. I have looked at the tutorials on windowlight.co.nz but they seem to need some experience I don't have. Back on track...so I can add the effect to the airport xml then compile or is it harder than that?

QUOTE (Markk @ Jul 12 2008, 11:49 AM) The map was taken on 4/3/05...so its actually only 3 years ago. Oamaru seems to have changed very little over time by the look of it. And yes the circular object is a disused racetrack by the look of it. Thanks for the pic Mark. I think i will just put in a racetrack there, and the pic has been good for the positioning of a couple of other items in the scenery as well. You could try going to avsim.com, and searching through the "Flight Simulator 2004 / Scenery Design" section. Thats where you will find all the freeware EZ Scenery Libraries. If you know the name of the author of the object library you want, you could also just type his name into the search box......................... As far as i know, there is not one single download that contains them all.............. there are too many, from too many different authors.
