QUOTE Iam sure those with more Ram are getting more definition .These shots are with 1gig ram on a pentium4 1.6ghz yeah ive watched a tube vid on this subject it would be CPU speed rather than ram that will cause this ,i remember something like FS could use 250 cpus to run the each terrain engine or something like that bla bla im running 3.0 ghz cpu and i still have to wait sometimes for the photoreal to load and i also have 3gig ram so just keep that in mind when you upgrade more ram would never go a miss though .. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif...

Yes, the Flightsim Store normally stock my FSX stuff only. SimMarket is the only choice to download, but of course the most economical way to buy it for FS2004 is the FS2004 Collection.

QUOTE (FlyerMike @ Sep 24 2008, 07:42 AM) Hi Lawrie I think the taxiway exited the runway at 90' but only have a vague recollection of a pale surface - not sure what. I do not think there is any track between the two areas. Certainly we walked along the runway itself. Cheers Mike Thanks Mike,.......... every little bit of info helps. I see there's is a concrete apron in front of the hanger in the pics ive got, so maybe i'll ill just make a narrow concrete taxiway from it to the runway, and see what it looks like in the sim................... The Static Objects Library should be quite far down the list (from memory), around/underneath the mesh/landclass (at least that's where it is in mine). /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> Alex

oh, the runway. i had the same problem but i'm the kind of person that likes to troubleshoot so i fiddle alot. i had some issues with default conflicting with realnz wellington and taxilines being black and rather pixelated, so i found these files were causing problems. wgtnrunway wgtnrunwaymarkings wgtntarmac2 wgtntarmacwestlines backup all of realnz's files (should be done anyway) to your documents etc and delete the above files which are found in the realnz folder in fsx. deactivate and reactivate the scenery in-game and see if it helps. if you find too much of a change, or the...

QUOTE (Pato @ Sep 27 2008, 08:35 AM) I am doing a reinstall of FS9. I have installed 20m Mesh. I have been told that Landclass is included in the 20m Mesh. Is this correct because I am sure previously I had to download and install it separately. Is there any way I can check that Landclass is installed.? Ignore this please. It has been confirmed that Landclass is NOT included in the 20m Mesh only in the NZ combo which I do not have.

QUOTE (Jenks @ Sep 15 2008, 07:10 PM) Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Alex, it was the replacement textures that you pointed me to that did the trick. Much appreciated! I'm now spending my time following Fletchers around the hill strips, and experimenting with what aircraft I can get down safely on some of the shorter strips - great fun /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Steve Good you got it sorted Steve. This was a double bonus for me. I was under the impression that I was unable to install Robin Corn's Photo real for Queenstown coz it wouldn't be compatible with the 20 mesh and the topo. Big surprise for old Warren, I can tell you. I am having trouble keeping up at the moment with new scenery and AI coming thick and fast. I have only so many hours in the day you know. Not complaining though.... /clapping.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= clapping.gif /> /cheers1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= cheers1.gif />

QUOTE (creator2003 @ Sep 13 2008, 12:11 PM) 75 meter or 20meter ,also i think mesh does effect flps as it will be drawing more polys to smooth out the low res meshes ie like the 20meter or if you in FSX were to use 1meter 10 meter or any of the other options I didn't mean to say that the mesh doesn't affect performance, just that it doesn't affect it as much as other issues. What FS does -- such as mesh display etc -- it does very well, what really affects performance is the non-FS stuff -- trying to make the sim do too much for your system, limited RAM and graphics...

I use GE2006 which I purchased recently and NZ looks fine, I haven't noticed any "ugly splotches". It is installed on top of Geographx landclass and 20m mesh which I'm sure you already have.

Yep - I agree with Mike. I purchased FScene for FS9 a few years back, based on the weight of the screenshots and reviews at the time. I was quite disappointed as the colours just didn't seem right and the autogen didn't seem to match the ground tiles. I then tried Ground Environment Pro from Flight1. That WAS a real step up from FScene and looked almost photoreal - the autogen was really well done and the ground tiles had an almost 3d look to it. The only shortcoming with GEPro is that every rural area tile is bordered by a dirt road which helps with the alignment of the surrounding...

QUOTE (Shamrock55 @ Sep 2 2008, 12:51 PM) Okay folks...thats great advice and much appreciated before i go spending money. I'm just going to have to make do with what I've got then and maybe buy the tomahawk addon instead, the default scenery in FSX for welly isnt too bad I was just drooling over the screenshots! I'll just have to invest in a decent PC for FSX, Im just in the frame of mind now that I'd rather put the cash into actual lessons and flight time rather then spend it on my PC....Cheers for the advice though /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid=...
