QUOTE (flemingl @ Jul 11 2009, 07:40 AM) Hello again everyone, I have a question for Lawrie (Snowman). I enjoy using your sceneries but my question is what landclass or mesh are you using? In the screenshots of your sceneries I see nice green mountains and land areas, for example around Dunedin. all I have are brown mountains and brown land areas. With the photoreal Dunedin installed it looks a liitle better but still not as nice and green as yours. Can you help me out here? Thanks. flemingl Sorry for the delay in answering,.......... been busy moving house !! Landclass is...

QUOTE (HardCorePawn @ Jun 30 2009, 04:17 AM) I stand corrected... and all I can say is "wow"... you started completely from scratch??? /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> don't remind me - it was a bunch of work at the time, but it did pay off (in my opinion at least /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> )

Yup use the two BGLS that will get rid of the city default FSX objects and only leave the Airport NZAA ,the ardmore problem will be the afcad or flatten that came with NZreal Auckland its probably now got two of them ?,so one will have to be removed or used only for the addon you are using as ardmore .. to test this just deactivate the addon you used and see if anything changes with the levels or deactivate the real nz addon and see if things change you will soon find the conflicting files

Generally texture replacements don't change framerates as all you are doing is drawing the same thing in a different way (as opposed to drawing new things)

Wouldn't be that hard would it? If they have RNZAF A/C for FSX on their site? They would probably roll out the red carpet with permission and aerial images if you said it were a marketing tool right? /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> That is what the A/C were seen as to them, weren't they?

QUOTE (tesza @ Jun 4 2009, 11:32 PM) Hi, This is my first post on this forum though I have been reading for the past year or so. I downloaded the NZWP scenery some time back and installed sucessfully in FS9. Have had little luck though with installing to FSX, while sceney is mostly there the runways are below the scenery level and aprons do not show.Trees show as billboards. I have RNZ AKL installed amd use AKL 2005 in FSX as well. Tried some of the suggestions from others like deleting some bgl's from Real NZ Akl but this made no difference other than losing the scenery areas....

MSFS isn't dead as yet. A bunch of developers have been rehired just a week after they've been fired and Microsoft is continuing the development on MSFS. It's unlikely it's going to be called MSFS, nor is it going to be a direct successor (at least judging from comments ex-ACES employees have made). It has been hinted though that the new MSFS will connect to Microsoft Live (in what I see as a positive way). Some early comments do make me optimistic, however there are no details available as the project is kept in secret (the existence is not secret though) - I suspect even MS...
