QUOTE (ZK-LGD @ Oct 31 2009, 03:03 PM) Howdy Lawrie, Surprisingly, Robin's old Godzone NZTI fits the Dunedin photoreal like a glove. I've only installed the airport buildings (left the F&P factory complex out; there's factory/office Autogen there, anyway) and it all lines up. Doing a top-down view of the photoreal (from 3.5 miles) shows the 05-23 rwy and this too lines up with both the Godzone building placement as well as Google Earth. Just had to break open the old AFD file and extract the correct rwy headings. All that's really missing are fence lines...

You may want hold on your leather hat , gomer goggles and scarf , Mercer is right on the very border so it just slightly misses out , but in around the Ardmore area will suit you down to the ground with Robins new release RealNZ Auckland , and off course Thames Coromandel is easy to find with a little search .

I whole-heartedly agree with Ian and Robin. If the scenery is working fine in the sim,.......... leave well-enough alone. It is quite normal. A large percentage of payware sceneries with auto-installers actually install the scenery into FS's main folder, usually under their "brand" name as Ian mentioned. Names such as FSAddon, Georender, Aerosoft, Blueprint Simulations, FranceVFR, Imagine Simulation, Lago, MegaCity, SimFlyers, SimMarket, Tropical Sim, Visual Flight, Cloud-9, are a few examples of common "brand" names you may see in there. You will also find a lot of...

The scenery works pretty good in FSX although I found extremely poor frame rates and stuttering when flying in the vicinity of the smaller strips, Forest Field, West Melton, even Rangiora. I deleted the BGL's for these airports which were conveniently named in the scenery folder and now the scenery runs very well. I recommend it to give the region some more character!

QUOTE (Kahu Project @ Oct 3 2009, 10:07 PM) Not to sure if there is much interest in this but thought I would post anyway. I have been working on creating classic scenery for FSX. The era being the golden age of aviation the 50's. Whaddya mean "if there is much interest"? /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> ... I think it'll go down *great* at NZFF. Looks amazing so far! I haven't got *any* scenery for Whenuapai that works in FSX - regardless of what period it is!! Will it live alongside Robin's AKL...

Yeah plus there are severe height restrictions on the surrounding houses. No more that one story I believe. I've been up there twice. Perfect views. If I get another chance, I'll take a photo.

QUOTE Does map2bgl automatically blend mask the image? Yes it makes a blend mask only ,if you wanted a water mask you would have to make one, black and white again and add this blend to your ini file i havent used it much so im not sure on the points kml thing ,ive tried a saved poly kml area but this did not work and still downed all the tiles , I think you will have to look into this more on more forums and so on to work this out better than i can help you ..
