QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Nov 4 2010, 01:22 AM) Scrubs , pleased you buzzed it in a Spitty and Moth , I'd been playing around with it couple days now ... Melbourne on steriods was one saying /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> , dont no , seems the ground map is prity messy Yeah, you're right there Ian. Overall though, a pretty good improvement on the original, especially in the framerate department, which is important on my system! Sadly I have not had much time to explore all the options with real world getting in the way of the...

QUOTE (gojozoom @ Nov 4 2010, 01:55 PM) I'm just wondering if I could put that 20m mesh "under" VLC... Would it cause elevation problems with any RealNZ sceneries (and/or other freeware stuff)? Dan VLC includes a 20 metre mesh, so it wouldn't make sense to use this instead. However if you don't have VLC, then it should make a real difference to most photoscenery areas.

Hi Deeknow, I haven't done a thing on for months now. In fact I haven't even fired up flightsim in months now :-( I have just recently started up my own business which has my full attention and therefor everything else has taken a back seat. A friend of mine has been keen to take over where I left off but I am not sure how he is going? I'll do some digging and see if he is progressing. Cheers, Matt

Yes I am. If you look at the latest file a lot of the smaller airfields have been done already and the rest are not far off. The only thing not on there is the parking spots and that is very scenery specific. I will be interested to see your sector file.

QUOTE (toprob @ Oct 14 2010, 06:12 PM) Actually, Hokitika... I haven't quite got all the photos I need yet, as the guy who normally does scenic flights is not available at the moment. If I can't get up in the air, then I'll need to rethink my plans for Hoki. It's a real quiet airport at the moment, I was the only one around all morning, so I drove to Greymouth and took some photos there. Brendan -- I'm trying to concentrate on the South Island at the moment, mainly to offer some freeware airfields for VLC. AHHHH ! yes knew you guys could help thanks very much...

There's a good freeware NZAA airport coming in sometime later this year, next year or the year after that. /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif /> Alot of stuff has been changed and fixed from those WIP screenshots.

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Sep 28 2010, 06:17 PM) They are not essential for flying online with VATNZ. Not all NZ aircraft are RNAV capable and many SID's and STARs can still be flown with raw data (VOR etc). Still an FMC with a good up-datable database does make it easier. I guess I should have qualified my reply!! /rolleyes.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= rolleyes.gif /> RNAV is a must have for me ...... as I tend to only fly the 'big toys' online. In order to mirror realworld procedures I need RNAV capability. I agree with your thoughts...

QUOTE (Nzeddy @ Sep 14 2010, 10:37 PM) Introducing Vector Land Class, a high fidelity landclass scenery package developed using innovative geo-spatial processing techniques to deliver breathtaking representations of Aotearoa/New Zealand. Thanks I did not know about the new vector Land Class texture and mesh for New Zealand may because I have been concentrating on the USA, even though I had the Red Baron software loaded. I rediscovered it when I needed to reload it. But so far I have not been able to fix the Milford problem. This new VLC looks very good and I am contemplating buying...

QUOTE (Adamski @ Sep 14 2010, 08:06 PM) Is there no royalty-free imagery available for Gt Barrier? I'm sure the experienced (or commercial) scenery designers here have been down this path many a time - and have their own sources for free (or cheap) images. Searching NZFF will probably produce a fair few hits on this subject. I think that is THE problem for NZ - there is little, if any, free or cheap good imagery available for photo-real. Mike seems to have got some good stuff for Abel Tasman - not sure how he scored that (because it certainly isn't the colourised stuff that...
