Thanks Nick, yes I have looked at YouTube but the best one I could find has a 30 sec gap that just happens to be at the time of applying textures. And yes, I do have the "Blue button" turned on. Toprob, thanks so much for your offer, I will send you a PM (if your settings allow, if not I'll post back here) Cheers Harry

Charl, you may or may not recall a few years ago , I had a great idea <_< Snap a google earth screen, and paste a FS shot over the top ... came out well. I posted a couple here but took them down and reposted out of the public eye after a rather terse legal email from google (lawyers) . Its a shame, because I was never going to gain (financially) from the images ... I think it was Rob who warned off the idea ... wise old bird that fella.

Thanks for the offer, Jeff, but I've gone ahead with what I have. Getting to the stage now when things need to be finalised, so West Melton will be the 'curate's egg' of airports:)

Thanks for the reminder -- I just need to find some spare time to put the installer together. As I've made big changes to the way scenery is installed in P3Dv4, I need to make sure I get it right first time....

Great - thanks Toprob. That means the scenery complexity had an effect on the cars... turning the slider back fixes that. Orbx FTX does recommend the scenery complexity slider to be set to the far right for best setting for their FTX scenery, all my settings are set to FTX's settings. Sliding it back would be a compromise to the scenery but the cars all appear. If I still want to keep the high settings I will add the cars with Instant scenery. I have both Orbx S.I and N.I as well as their airport scenery for NZ. I just recently added your Hokitika scenery and put it at the top above FTX in...

You are right Paul.................. Lived in LA for 14 years so familiar with the area and i fly a lot in USA as my job then took me all over so it's good to go back and visit. Thanks again for your help........... Barrington Hello, Barrington! I have spent (spending) the past 20+ years, almost every day, exploring the whole of California and the surrounding States in my various flight Sims, starting with "Flight Unlimited II" (San Fransisco), then onto the various Microsoft Flight Sims, FS '98 onwards, (now with FSX). I have been told by many Californians that I am more familiar...

Hi Robin, CHCH will be a good test for us X-Plane users on what support you will get - I was happy to contribute to your kickstarter even if nothing was made for X-Plane (my only Sim) because it's great to see high quality NZ scenery being produced. I've tried converting a few of the freeware FSX NZ sceneries with reasonable results that give me the real terminal and hangar buildings (I hate generic buildings when I land at an airport) but I'm not very talented so they don't have the same polish as the originals. If Nelson and Dunedin were converted I know they would be instant purchases for...

Well, it seems I made a mistake - aren't you all proud to be present at such a historic event? Rob set me on the right track - I had disabled the OBX94460 bgl, thinking anything with OBX in it must be related to ORBX. When, I don't recall. Mind you, it looks pretty deadly. You can see where that shortarse tower is embedded, but needs another storey in height. I will have a go at modelling the terminal, nothing fancy, just an exterior. There are plenty pics around, and buildings these days are very modular, so safe assumptions can be made about measurements etc - doors are standard...

Just working my way through the unread posts now.... I'm using that Ortho scenery. It's pretty good and a lot better than anything else that's available. What it really needs is the autogen doing. I constantly find trees where they shouldn't be. Also, I'm not sure about the quality of some of the photos. They seem a little lo res to me but if you're above about 500ft then it's OK. I think a good place to start Robin is as you say, doing the airports. NZ is crying out for some payware quality places to park. There are some really good freeware offerings at the moment but there's definitely...

Hi Bob, Glad you got it sorted! Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. I try and make the sceneries work on Sparse and above for all objects placed. I must have missed a few objects in the placement which may have been set above Sparse. I'll have a look into it! Cheers Che

I haven't had a chance to look at integrating the final version, so it isn't on my site. There is some things to sort out first, especially for those who installed the beta for P3Dv4 -- the final version shifts the tool to add-on.xml, so I'm not sure if you can simply replace it, as the current version uses exe.xml. Let me think about it for a while...
