QUOTE (Trolly @ Nov 11 2007, 10:44 AM) Charl- I'm just wondering how you got the grass to appear in that screenie above from Picton- isn't that area covered in photoreal textures? Yeah...There appears to be a bit that isn't covered. Mind you, my Picton area is also covered with bits that climb out of the water.

QUOTE (Trolly @ Nov 11 2007, 10:42 AM) $4,800 for just that painting? I could print you out a screenshot for a fraction of the price! /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> I have a few snaps of Whitianga from the holidays but none show the buildings you are after. Building 1 is a marine gear warehouse Building 3 is the 'Mercury Bay Aeroclub' club house Down the other end of the runway there is a new housing development. Some of the houses have aircraft parked outside- it was brand new as of Summer 06/07, and don't show up...

I don't use it but the Jetways and Terminals ACOF found in AVSIM have an NZAA which is pretty god for a basic version and it even includes the future international terminal upgrade.

Hi Steve If you go to youll see the link which fixes the flatten which Robin refers to- A new flatten was required to make the helipad sit properly on the high res mesh but in the initial version it caused some problems. I released an updated flatten which should fix the problem- Its only a few KB. Make sure to follow the instructions in the readme- it appears you didnt disable the old flatten The HighRes version of Whale completely replaces the original version so if you have both you can delete the original.

FS-Recorder lets you do that- set up new tower/spot/vc views to your hearts content. It's one of the best freeware addons out there.

QUOTE (captainherc @ Oct 24 2007, 08:15 PM) Thanks Ian. Installed v5 and running sweet. Then installed the Christchurch phototo real, the big 279mb set. While still downloading in FS9 it came up as "cannot create texture" Is the problem in my comp or when I dowmloaded it from my CD copy etc. Super - you have airport workin , NZScenery created the 279mb file , its good , but requires a lot of work to get it to sit on that scenery .

QUOTE if you use objects out of someone else's scenery (and especially if it's payware), you need to get the author's express permission before you can upload it anywhere. Yeah I'd figured that straight away. I'm not going to upload this anywhere, I just wanted to make myself something small and customised. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

QUOTE (captainherc @ Oct 16 2007, 10:02 PM) I to am downloading these. Do I need to also download the rwy12 object placer. Along with that it tells me I need 3 more programes. Is this only needed if im going vto design my own scenery or what. Thanks. No, you dont need the Runway-12 Object Placer program. (unless you plan on building your own scenery). You only need the texture sets to be able to view buldings in sceneries made with Rwy-12. The main Runway-12 texture libraries are in 3 separate downloads, plus there are also a large number of standalone addon texture sets for...

There's no ILS - it'd be difficult to keep calibrated on a shifting, seasonal runway. There is a TACAN, however. Search Avsim for NZIR and you'll find an afcad for it. That's what I used on my Back to Blighty tour.

Yea I had a similar problem when i used to run Auckland 2005. I may be wrong but i believe the scenery was designed for fs2002 and therefore the sinking wheels was due to running it in fs9. Anyway I downloaded this file from avsim "auckland2005fix.zip" File Description: A fix file for Auckland 2005..which patches a software bug ( sinking aircraft wheels ) at Auckland International Airport Terminal Just follow the instructions in the readme and it should fix it. I run Real Auckland now so I dont have to worry anymore /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt=...

Search for 'Auckland 2005' at Avsim and you'll find a file you can download that has instructions on how to fix that. From memory I think you just have to delete one of the Auckland 2005 scenery files somewhere that doesn't work so well with FS9. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> Alex Edit; Just realised the answer has been covered in this thread. Locked this one to stop doubling-up. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

Just bumping this topic for the new members who have joined since last October. I havn't done any more color variations because I couldn't work out which part of the tower was which in the bmp file- all I can manage is one single colour, sorry.
