Hi, glad to see my mesh is being used. Had a heck of a time getting it done, I had to put my xeon 128GB memory to its full use. My normal desktop with 32GB keep running out of ram. Was fiddling around with the LINZ 1m mesh for Wellington, looks fantastic - especially the runway slope. But getting the mesh to join up nicely is quite a challenge.

Thanks, Charl, I hope to get the location markers with starting and parking spots, done by the end of the week. The water blending will have to wait. I also have an overlap with toprob's Coromandel, which you may not have, so I have to list the files of my NZ_Auckland which need to be deactivated to avoid that clash. But it is all coming together, albeit very slowly :) Mike

Yes, member 'perokee' in the flightsim. org forum has made a lot of scenery for the southern part of South Island. It is good stuff, 25m mesh for the whole island, plus photoscenery for about half the island. I am still working on my own stuff at the northern end, as well as the Chathams.

Other sims will still be in use long after the new sim appears. I'll not be getting it for quite some time.

The good thing is that you can activate and deactivate large areas of scenery very easily with improved load times.

Thank You for the Info.I like aerofly 2 ... It is a good piece of software, but I see them going in the wrong direction with this Boeing/Airbus toys. I see this more for use with VFR and for bush-flying if secenery´s for this are available.

SODE is pretty awesome, has allowed lots of cool functionality. How did you get on? SODE is doing fine for me. It can open or close cargo hangar doors. It can bring deice trucks to plane to spray de-icing on it. Regards, Aharon

Hi I noticed that when the metafile .gtf is created, only the file extension is written without the file name, so there is a NULL string. Where can I change that? thanks for your tip Kind Regards Ramon

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone wants to work on the 10m mesh for xplane? We have the mesh for prepar3d/fsx and would look awesome in xplane under Lyndimans ortho.

My goodness... 165k views! And I hope this thread gave some new (to NZ) flightsimmers some insights about flying the place in FS9 (and beyond, perhaps). However I see that Botophucket is again up to their shenanigans, this time not actually deleting uploaded pics, just rendering them in fuzzy fashion. Gotta love 'em. This really defeats the purpose of the thread, so MODS! please delete. Thanks, see you in FS2020.
