Mmm all those little bits still to download! In true FS.to style: if you make the mistake of swiping left to look at, say, South America, and keep swiping left...by the time you get round to us again, all data is obliterated. Swiping progressively right will make them reappear. Interestingly, my gliders won't launch anymore, WEBFAQ's say it's because of an addon scenery not SDK compliant. Oh dear. While I think of it: The NZ Huts out on the tramping trails can be found here

These huts and small sceneries are a treat, but there can be some frustration about identifying what's where. So I have embarked on a little annotation to help with future journeys! In the pic bottom right, it says: Entry next left. (Seems the fidelity has somehow been lost between Flickr and the forum?) Sure enough, down the road there it is. This stops vehicle/helicopter unintended positional conflict.** It also shows the approach glide path over the powerlines, which in the model are hardened. I found this out the hard way. ** This is aeronautical language, used instead of saying Crash :)

How do you create the correct scale from what AI produces? Tripo doesn't even attempt to get the scale right, everything imports into Blender pretty small, but it's easy to get the proper size from Google Earth and scale it up in Blender. After all, it is just one big mesh. The cars I made just need a quick search for specs for the length. Nice trip to Masterton today, the Wairarapa is beautiful at this time of year. Not many useful pics, as the sun was low and bright, so shadows everywhere. But the main goal was to see what's new, turns out not much. At least now I know I'm probably not...

I have been playing around in Blender and started modelling some buildings for Omaka. Next step is to import them into MSFS. Its a lot more complicated these days. I may be picking your brains if I get too stuck Rob! Ah, Omaka would be a great project to start with, enough of a challenge without being overwhelmingly huge. Have fun! Setting up a project for MSFS still takes a lot of trial and error for me if I start within the sim, as I tend to forget a lot between projects. In the early days I'd start with a sample project, edit it to fit the airport, and then load it in the SDK. Once there,...

Sorry to bring up this nine year old thread but I am wondering if anybody has this scenery for FSX that anybody can send to me please?? I could have PM the original author and developer of this scenery but I do not think he comes to those NZFF forums anymore. Thank you for any assistance any of you might offer for my request. Regards, Aharon

Looks like my new Piper Pacer and the helicopter fleet are going to get a good workout soon! Can’t wait to cruise over the lakes, mountains, and remote airstrips in New Zealand – exactly the kind of flights that are fun and let you really enjoy the scenery.

Thanks for the tip re FSLTL Naki, hadn't come across that, looks promising. Am currently using the AIG AI Manager in P3D which has been great last few years.

Oh yeah, I tried all of that. I didn't have millions of addons that would cause the sim to stop working. I had an issue where, after a longish flight, all of the levels at the arrival airport were messed up, floating lights etc. Really annoying and Asobo refused to acknowledge that there was a problem. I wasn't the only one. I may do a reinstall at some stage but I think XP is a much better sim.
