QUOTE (jpreou @ Jan 18 2013,4:04 PM) Hi Guys, my sim is slowly building out. Read a whole bunch of info around the Saitek Radio Panel and will likely make it my next add-on. One question I have found conflicting info for: when I manually change frequencies in FSX by clicking in the virtual cockpit, the ATC window disappears. I have to re-open it to interact with ATC again. Annoying. Does anyone out there have the Saitek Radio Panel and, if so, does changing the frequency on the radio panel do the same thing; cause the ATC window to disappear. I fear that if it does, then the panel is...

I generally keep the water settings to default , one i did mention years ago was with this weather and cloud settings , surprised a developer has not created animated water that works within a three KM radius with trofts and waves maybe to co-inside with with the weather/wind .

QUOTE (HardCorePawn @ Aug 3 2008,5:18 AM) Unfortunately, there is nothing for speed (apart from turning the speed hold on/off) that I can see... Although if you have a registered copy of FSUIPC, you can assign keys to various AutoPilot panel functions... ps. 1000 posts! /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> I spend too much time here! OK ok I know this is an ancient post. Please forgive me :-) You can find a list of event IDs at . The way to use these event IDs is described at The basic idea is to find a file called...

There is another way, there is a freeware program called AIcarriers2 which allows you to place working aircraft carriers any where your flying, this can be configured to place liftable objects also You will need some liftable objects from the sandbox file, but you do not need the object placement tool.

Its just the way FS pilot shop lists it. It gives the impression that there was an update to the aircraft as well as configuring it for FSX. I guess not.

REX Essentials will add extra to default airports and runway/taxi details and many other thing but wont affect the landclass or small fields created in VLC , best simply just go for it , trust me you cant go wrong /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

I do have the very same problem with the Aerosoft 320 on landing ( they said it was buggy) ... correct weights 'the lot' just wants to fall out of the sky also had this 146 but slight glitch in PC saved the continuation , but appear to be the same problem .

QUOTE (tripecac @ Jul 25 2012,7:38 PM) Turning aerial images off gives me back the green FTX textures... and the runway is still on the ground, which is good! So what is the difference between: a) RealNZ Wanaka enabled, with aerial images disabled b) RealNZ Wanaka disabled c) RealNZ Wanaka uninstalled with the NZSI files renamed as you suggested above I compared screen shots of (a) vs (b) and didn't notice any difference other than a couple trees in slightly different locations. My guess is that (a) and (b) use the same runway coordinates, and (b) and © use the same ground...

Seemed many had all sorts crashing problems this last month and i think the prize went to Dave , he simply could not install FSX full stop after a crash . I had the typical log book error , running FSX fine the night before , altho i was trying to install the DSB camera program , maybe have been the cause and destruction due to its stupid installation setup , designed to stop thievery but makes i damn difficult for the honest .

If you get the C-130 pack, you'll need the Antarctica X scenery too - would never land at McMurdo on fsx again without it!! Only qualm is that South Pole Station isn't modelled, which sucks /sleep.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= -_- border= 0 alt= sleep.gif /> Good luck getting the airspeed working again though mate!!

QUOTE (Olderndirt @ Jun 22 2012,2:47 PM) How Microsoft survived long enough to finally get something right is beyond me. Law of averages, I think /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif />! I have a theory that every alternate release should just go in the bin. Remember Win Me? Hahahahahaha. So ... I won't be falling for Win8 ... A fully updated/patched XP is till damn' good! I used to know a very senior Microsoft engineer - and he says there's an elusive bug in the basic network code in Windows (that makes networks sometimes...

Ah Yes the Logbook. I have quite a bit of trouble with this also. You tried the tool "FSXLog11" not sure if it will do what your looking for by combining logs but it can fix them. Mine still tends to get stuck and stop recording flights so I end up deleting the logbook.bin file and start again. It can actually stop FSX from starting which has happened to me a few times. Soon as I delete it FSX starts working again. Be interested in any tool you might find that fixs and combines logbooks, that you find. I'm not overly concerned with the logbook ATM though..... Still learning to...
