Some experimenting today indicates that the Garmin glass cockpit and probably aircraft with a fmc do not benefit from the SP1. There is little improivement with the default aircraft fitted with the Garmin glass VC, though all are fine in 2d. The Just Flight VLJ that I refer to has a rather complex glass VC. Am not much fussed anymore as I do not really like the glass VCs.

Just did a before and after test, took off from NZAA, in the default Baron 58, flew at 3800ft across the CBD around past NZWP down the west coast and landed back at NZAA. I have installed RealNZ Auckland, 20m mesh and most sliders set very high except for ground and boat ai and water. Got about 6-9FPS increase which I'm really happy about. System specs AMD 64 X2 4800+ 4 GB ram SLI 7800GTX

Nice Brock, good job, yourve put a fair bit of work in to that  Display settings just come with practice I think, iv read guide after guide. Yesterday did a reinstall again (yes I managed to mess up my sim again, it was refusing to start :P ) loaded up the defualt flight straight away, fresh install just to see how it looked. Defualt settings were so yuk, open the disaplay settings have about 20second tweak and it looks incredible! :D So much can be done with those sliders, tweak tweak tweak, youl get what you want eventuly B-) James

It is on the deluxe version. You put the disk in and go into "my computer" right click on the disk and explore it. It will be under something like SDK

Ok the gauge is now going but i do not understand this " 8. Altitude callouts. - RadioAltitude decreasing AND RadioAltitude passes heigth (x + y). - "x": R-ALT is: 10,20,30,40,50,100,200,300,400,500,1000,2500 or "Minimums". - "y": The basic R-ALT of the aircraft when on the ground (default: 18 feet) - "Minimums" callout: when the aircraft descends below the Decision Height (DH, see Notes) in landing configuration." If someone could please explain this

These settings allow you to set the default VC view so that the view forward has the right prospective on loading an aircraft. You can position your forward view left/right,forward/back,and up/down. I found the views supplied by MS where generally too far away making it difficult to read the instruments. You need to adjust for each aircraft.

have you got advanced animations on? I have all the correct settings enabled yup of course ;) Most of them ive seen in missions but its not hard to place them wherever You will need the deluxe version, activate the object placer tool and add them. The objects start with 'Ani_' from memory (ani_birds_..... etc) Then compile and add to addon scenery...easy as pie hmm, why shoudl the end user have to do that when they advertise the sim as having these animals everywhere, I recall things such as "see whales as you fly around hawwii" iv spent a whole afternoon flying...

The only "HEAVY" aircraft that I know of that have been into Wellington are the 767's Qantas's 747SP's and the BA777 Dont Air NZ sometimes send a 767 to WLG? Yep that's what I said 767's QF 747SP's BA777 Although most ( if not all ) of the regular ANZ 767 have been dropped and replaced by the A320's and I think all of the QF 767 have been replaced with 737's

are there features or something that the FS9 747 has that the FSX version doesn't? he probably has a lot of repaints for the fs9 version that fsx doesn't have. he might have a posky or meljet(yes i know they are aircraft makers) mega pack for the default fs9 aircraft? who knows What do you mean the Posky and Meljet aircraft are Separate what i meant was that there are posky and meljet mega packs, and there might be one for the default
