it has brought to my attention that i made a mistake in my upload of the NZTS Mustangs repaints I uploaded to flightsim.com ( P51_NZTS.zip) , the problem was within the panel and sound folders cfg's where I had accidentlally omitted some data which caused the repaints not to show in the aircraft menu within FSX,..,..in the panel.cfg it read alias=P51_Racer ...when it should have read alias=P51_Racer/Panel same as the sound folder the sound.cfg read alias=P51_Racer when it should have read alias=P51_Racer/sound I will upload fix to flightsim.com for everyone else. Thankyou for helping me...

I dont know why i never though of turning of crash detection before. I fly alot of heli and never encoutered those problems before but when I think about it, ive never had scenery with so many heliports in it, ive just taken of from regular aiports etc. When you think about it, whats realistic about flightsimulators crash detection when it has no crash effects? nothing

I was thinking of trying a game of AirHauler with no AI pilots. Would be much harder to make cash and progress through the various plane upgrades but I think it could be fun for a challenge.

Have you resolved this issue? One of the options in the Effects tool is "emits light" I think this is your problem. If u want light to be emitted, then copy the tab for the effect, and in the newly created tab, uncheck "emits light". Now one tab will produce light, and the other tab will produce smoke...it will look better at night if u do add light, so your half way there allready. Timmo gave great advice when he said its easier to edit default effects and save them under a new name. For example, i took a small explosion and turned it into a simple little volcano. Since i...

This works by just searching for the prop bmp (can't remember exact file name). So it wil lalso overwrite the working props too. Whether this matters or not I don't know, bit it was a hell of a lot easier than doing them all manually!

I'm a helo freak as well, do what I did and wished I hand'nt procrastinated for so long and buy a pair of rudder pedals and you will never look back. Take your time and you wil find a pair on trademe soon enough. Also awsome for fixed wing flying/taxing etc. Trust me you will be glad you did. Variable brakes aswell.

QUOTE (s0cks @ May 18 2010, 03:49 PM) than DX10 without nhancer. Too much stuttering in DX10 /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> Not a competition , same story with FS9 /FSX , depends on your system , and that not a competition either , least we have the choices to suit every one who enjoys Flightsim , we all and many cannot buy willy niilly then on saying that it also depend on savvy finding out best ways to get the best out off your system .

QUOTE (markll @ May 16 2010, 12:03 AM) Yeah, I'm giving up now too, as long as I stop seeing whinging about how FSX isn't this, or should do that. As Rob said, if you think you can do better, go ahead and do so. Till then, shut up. Lol. Some people get wound up a bit too easy no? It is just a discussion, and I fully understand what you were saying. And while you think 15fps is smooth, I don't (in fact I can't stand it). I guess that is what it boils down too. I don't understand why some people get so defensive over FSX. It has its flaws. I believe optimization is...

QUOTE (2fst4u @ May 3 2010, 09:58 PM) I gave up on using FSX's comms system. I just imagine the words I should be saying and then go onto the runway. It's not like anyone is going to file a CAA incident report on you /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> . It is very limited and quite annoying, sometimes even wrong a lot of the time so you may find yourself like me, not using radios at all rather soon. /whathesaid.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :hesaid: border= 0 alt= whathesaid.gif /> I remember from my Falcon4 campaigns,...

QUOTE (Naki @ Apr 30 2010, 11:29 PM) Just went for a flight myself Whakatane - White Island - Tauranga - in real world weather the weather wasnt the best, bit of rain and quite cloudy ...but when I went outside it ws no where near that bad...maybe its a predicton of the weather later tonight but yes the immersion was great /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> I am still not convinced those gusts I was experiencing quite a bit east of Tauranga were 'real' or just a weird bug. The terrain was something that could create that sort of...
