okay then, I', happy to just pull some sliders back when visting nztg, now that I know its not just somethign wrong with my sim. Anyway photoreal look just as good with no buildings :D they dont have 8.0ghz puters yet do they .. perhaps a 4ghz dual core, and somehow get fs to use both cores :P Omaka/Woodbourne is a tricky case, in that they are close enough to effect frame rates. You don't really want Omaka's fences to affect performance at Woodbourne, but it's impossible to get around. So will this scenery be really hard on perforamce? I am considering buying more real nz...

There ya go Charl,................ the reason for the modified AFCAD at NZKI. I have this bad habit of wanting to fly all over the place in NZ in "old timers" Got to have room to park the thing, and get off the ground again !! Ohhhhh i just LOVE the sound of those Rolls Royce Dart Turboprops :) Lawrie >nzflag<

Oops, overlooked this one... I assume that this is an ongoing problem? Is it the actual painted lines which flicker? Do they disappear or just lose their texture? Does it help if you switch off dawn/dusk blending?

Thanks Robin! The fact that you used "stop-gap" just shows great minds think alike, My words from both Taupo and Hamilton: "This is just a stop-gap until Robin Corn comes out with something more definitive." So, now, where are those pictures of New Plymouth? Natas did a great job with Hamilton City, and I'm looking forward to Savern's scenery when he finally gets a chance to get it out. And here's to all NZ simmers. I'm glad I could give a bit of life to some neglected spaces.

You will notice a couple of things with Wellington, and a lot more with the older airports. However how much you see may depend on your display settings. This is what the patch fixes: First, the security fence frames all appear black. So do the barriers on the tarmac. Oh, and the stairs in the main terminal. With earlier sceneries there's a lot more black objects appearing. There were default airport buildings showing up where they shouldn't. Default taxiway signs appeared in the wrong places. Some city buildings were doubled up. The patch removes the MS default Wellington buildings....

I have been meaning to put a couple of GeoTIFFs together and see how they behave with the beta patch. I'll try to get this done soon.

Note to Robin:- Going back to the Front page of the windowlight and locating the link provided by Dorian is not very easy. Navigating the site is not easy in that respects. Just thought mention that for future referance. The Auckland City manual is designed to be the first port of call for Auckland issues, and this links to the Auckland City webpage -- see the inside cover under the heading Problems?

Howdy, Not Robin, but ... Also I dont know if this is normal but when I create a flight in New Zealand it seems to default to Mercer (city) with Wiakato(region) why is this and how can I get rid of it as its pretty annoying? No, it's not normal. However, as the Mercer AFCAD which is installed with the Auckland City scenery has Waikato listed as a Region, the scenery .cfg reads this as a seperate NZ entry, thus defaulting to this location. Clear as mud? The fix is simple: open both copies of the Mercer AFCAD (found in Scenery/World/Scenery and AddOn Scenery/scenery) with AFCAD, go to...

Thanks Robin So much to learn .Sure could do with a In depth tutorial manual with lots more examples on what can be achieved and how to's ay It certainly sounds like the best of both worlds from what you are describing on the blending stuff Again Thanks Greg
