Did anyone manage to get a copy of the exclude for Real NZ AKL City? The duplicate buildings are really annoying :(

Oh ok- I always assumed that the Addon Scenery folder is where scenery 'should' be installed to....I have no idea why I thought that though?! Just habit/personal preference :) Thanks for this scenery btw- Really awesome!....Hopefully ill have a bit of time to finish mine off and get it out soon

You should be aware (from the Rotorua support pages) that Lake Rotorua does not work well without the 'Roads & Rivers of NZ' topo scenery. This is an issue with the default FS2004 topo for New Zealand, and is not caused by the Real NZ scenery. However if you have the topo installed, and still have problems, then let me know.

QUOTE (toprob @ Dec 15 2007, 10:33 AM) You've certainly whacked that nail smack on the head. Developers have always been warned about losing backward compatibility, but have ignored it for a number of reasons. One is that some results can only be had by using 'obsolete' methods. SCASM is one (the major airport scenery developers make a lot of use of this, and have suffered a bit lately with the loss of AI aircraft at their airports), and the FS2002 ground polys is another. Now loss of backward compatibility has become a reality, so developers will be more inclined to take...

QUOTE (ronindanbo @ Dec 15 2007, 10:12 PM) Yeh Welly is at the top of the list, the only thing I can think of AFCAD wise is that I haf My Traffic X loaded up and I think it is an invassive peice of cr@p so I will look into that more. It sure is....and the un-installer doesnt clean up properly after itself either.

QUOTE (toprob @ Dec 6 2007, 02:37 PM) The NIS installer is pretty amazing -- if it says there's an error, then I'd take its word:) I've put a replacement disc in the mail. I haven't checked when the faulty disc was made, but I suspect that this goes back to a faulty drive, which was scrambling the odd disc. Up until then I used to validate about 1 disc out of 3 -- now I validate everything just in case. Thanks a lot, Yep I tried taking it off the disk and got the same error

QUOTE (Trolly @ Dec 1 2007, 10:14 PM) You are in for a real treat then, REAL NZ Wellington includes 3500 sq kms of photoreal scenery stretching from Miramar all the way up to Paraparaumu! Yeah I now know, (even includes Waikanae, where I live about 5 mins north of Paraparaumu across the river,) it's a bit of shame that it just doesn't quite cover all of Kapiti Island though.

QUOTE (toprob @ Nov 22 2007, 12:50 PM) If the RNZAF package includes AFCADs, then yes, you will get a conflict. Although AFCAD files can be called anything, they normally follow this convention: AF2_NZWB.bgl and are placed in Addon Scenery/scenery. (Mine isn't -- it goes in the RealNZmarl\scenery folder.) The RNZAF pack does include a custom AFCAD for NZWB, made for RealNZ Marlborough scenery. Search your entire flightsim folder for existing NZWB, rename them to AF2_NZWB.bak. Put the new AFCAD into (Typically) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator...

Yes, they'll work fine, the only issue is the main autorun screen. Some people have problems getting this to run on Vista (I think it's a permissions thing) but the installers work ok. Sometimes its necessary to bypass the autorun and just run the installers.

QUOTE (Pedro @ Nov 13 2007, 02:28 AM) It looks like a reinstall. I have reverted back to the AFCAD that came with the patch and the same thing is happening. No problem. Thanks for the advise Peter I have since discovered that I had backed up the Tauranga BGL file in Scenery/world/Scenery. For what reason I do not Know..........Age does have it's problems I guess. All is again well......But for placing those pesky 152's in their proper place.........I'm Happy....Now- a- days that doesn't take much. Cheers Peter
