This will be in the FSX NZ Topo Package- If I can get the excludes working to what the SDK documents say they should, then I hope to have different shorelines for high and low tide too......can't confirm yet though.

RealNZ Tauranga and Rotorua abutt each other (although there is very small gap if I recall) and of course come in one package if you order the disc. Realnz Marlborough and RealNZ Wellington are only seperated by Cook Strait whilst there is also a feeware Paraparaumu Airport (by RealNZ/Godzone) which can be added for RealNZ Wellington. RealNZ Tekapo and Wanaka areas are eperated but there is very good freeware Queenstown which is not too far from Wanaka..and a nice freeware Mt Cook not too far from Tekapo...and then there are all Lawries (Snowmans) scenerys which are too numerous to list...

This is usually caused by an additional AFCAD file. I don't know what FS Global installs, but I wouldn't think that this was the culprit. Normally AI Traffic addons are the biggest offender, in that they include their own AFCADs. These need to be tracked down and disabled to make sure that the only active AFCAD is the one supplied with Real NZ Wellington.

from my perspective it looks to be caused by the colour balance in the source imagery- This is evident in a lot of LINZ aerials (and aerial photos in general) where some features are hard to pick out because of the spectral settings used when scanning etc. In terms of the traffic, yep, that is just how it works- It is clipped to a QMID boundary (I forget which). The NZ Landclass/Environment addon I am working on covers the country in a lot more 'freeway traffic' but also reduces the density of this traffic in most parts of the country so that users can (hopefully) turn up their...

QUOTE (Timmo @ May 11 2009, 03:19 PM) Pine trees (i.e. Pinus Radiata) are usually very dark in aerial photography and I think shadow is just adding to it here. In terms of Railways, Tauranga is another good area to follow with a railway coming up from Kawerau, into the mount/port area and then heading north through the tunnel under the kaimais. The FSX version of Roads and Rails will of course have these features with updated data and perhaps some terrain.cfg changes to see them better (i.e. to raise the railway a metre or two above the surrounding terrain like in the real world) I...

Hey, Rob ... great to see you're using Joomla! I've created many a site (over the years) in it ... sort of stuck with it. It's become a tad "bloated" with 1.5 .. but some of the add-ons are awesome!! Nice clean layout!! /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif />

QUOTE (andrewp @ Apr 25 2009, 08:20 PM) I have now received my TrackIR and finding it quite difficult to get used to - It is very sensitive to my head movements. No doubt I will get used to it. I know it sounds stupid but make sure you have it set to the flight profile and not default. It only takes small movememnts of your head to look around so you can keep looking at the screen. I have only had one of these for a week now and am loving it. I have had to rearrange my computer so it is not looking straight towards a window behind me but other than that it works a treat and works...

QUOTE (MurrayH @ Apr 8 2009, 07:36 AM) I see that Takitimu is available on Avsim. Thanks Robin. Are you still offering an uncompressed version on CD? If so, I am still interested. If you are going to package this with your next airport release, I am happy to wait until then. I'm putting together a disc-based compilation of all my freeware at the moment. It will include Takitimu, but it may be the same as the Avsim download, as I've done some quick testing and I can't see any difference between uncompressed and 85% compression, which is what I've used here. There was...

QUOTE (Redda03 @ Apr 8 2009, 06:50 PM) Naki, Yes...it is. I have deleted the three tre.bgl's, the CpkGdn.bgl and the TrmGdn.bgl from the Manapouri_NZMO Scenery Folder to get rid of those "transparent boxes" around the trees. Lawrie's NZMO FS9 Addon seems to work ok in FSX.....and I have some of his other addons "operational" in FSX. Bob R Glad to know it works in FSX Bob. Admittadly,........... it looks a bit naked without the gardens and the trees, and also without all the cars in the carpark etc. You'll have to add some bits of your own, if you have...

Sure, just delete the stuff in Addon Scenery. However, as I said, you can move the RealNZmarl folder into Addon Scenery if you wish. As long as you only have one activated version... I admit I confused myself a bit here, I thought that the installer didn't give you the option to change the install path, but it does. However the path must represent your FSX install, and the choice is only there if the Registry path is not correct. This goes back to a few issues with Wellington, where some people had installed a new drive, and just dragged their FSX installation onto it without changing the...

Hmmm, it's taken me almost a week to get everything up and running, and I'm still not quite there, but I've learnt a lot about Vista in the process:) My main problem has still been the printer -- because I couldn't find the printer driver disc, I had to search the web for the Print-CD software, but when I found it I couldn't get it to print in the proper place. At the moment, though, I'm using another CD label-printing tool, which works ok, but it did mean re-creating all the labels. So when I said that CD production was back up and running, I was a bit premature. Now,...
