It's amazing after all the years I have been using FSX I never noticed this problem until now. Because of the extent of the flat roof problem (as evidenced in my screenshot over Manukau) I still think that there has been an installation issue/conflict between FTX and GEX despite my ensuring that FTX was switched to 'default' before installing GEX. My reason for this belief is that when I restored my backup files from within GEX EU & NA most of the roofs have reappeared . Some buildings still show sunken roofs but it is now not so apparent. I think it is these that could be the...

I've now released the patch on the Godzone Store site, with just one small change in the readme file to make it clear that for this to work (and any other Real NZ scenery patch) you need to use the FTX Central tool to set the FTX Scenery Insertion Point. You should just have to set this once, just make sure that the Insertion Point is BELOW any Real New Zealand scenery, but ABOVE Vector Land Class if you only have one Orbx island installed. Remember that in this case, 'above' and 'below' are strictly in relation to how the Scenery Library appears on-screen in the Insertion...

QUOTE (toprob @ Aug 7 2012,10:54 PM) That means that it has already been activated. EDIT: Your Scenery Library is certainly interesting, It would be quite unusual to have Oceania at the top. OMG, - you're right. I just expected to see Supercity at the top of the scenery library by itself, but I can't see it there at all. It's even better than I remember it (haven't used it for a while). I was just looking at Rosebank Domain (speedway track) and the two trees are exactly where they are in real life, - big pines. I've put stoat traps under each of them. Oceana is at...

Just a bit more info here, as I had an email over the weekend asking why I was 'forcing people to join Facebook' to view my site. This is not the case at all, although I can understand using Facebook to keep people informed of any Godzone news might be a bit confusing to some. But there are a lot of reasons why this is a good way to handle news on my site. If you don't like Facebook, or don't want to join Facebook, then you don't have to. You can still read through the Godzone news. You won't miss out on anything, you just have to pop by the Godzone site now and then....

Totally unrealistic. The Rwy 25 approach does have trees on it from the golf course, but they are kept well trimmed and don't even feature on the approach, except perhaps with some disturbed airflow. Hope that helps

QUOTE (andy190 @ May 20 2012,1:54 PM) I did install them, but I was wondering how to uninstall them without uninstalling the Patch. /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif /> The installer keeps the old files, replacing the .dds extension with _dds.bak. So to restore the default: Go to the Scenery\Global\Texture folder; search for 'cottonwoodelm' (without the quotes!); You should get 10 files; Shift the 5 with the .dds extension into a temporary location (these should be the new textures, which will probably be deleted,...

Bingo! Turns out that the file I was trying to rename was a duplicate in both bgl and bak form again. Got rid of that one and the scenery is working a treat. Thanks very much for all your help!

Ok, I've now reinstalled a Payment Gateway to process VISA/Mastercard credit card payments. This is provided by Paymate, and will hopefully last longer than the defunct Paymex. Once you select Credit Card payment via Paymate, you will be forwarded to the Paymate site to securely transfer your credit card details. Once you have paid via Paymate, make sure that you return to the Godzone Store, and your download should be immediately available. Please let me know if you have any problems.

Sound very promising. In Wellington they push aircraft in gate 17 for example, right out to the secondary main taxiway by gate 45. Would be terrific if I could customize this to reflect reality

QUOTE (NZ255 @ Mar 21 2012,11:27 PM) To sort of revive this topic, Ed, are you talking about sloped polygons/gMax model so the runway is sloped? Or just for the terrain? The terrain. FSX doesn't make slope polys that well... it's all jagged and mucked up. lol I worked on this last year as a personal project (canceled). Using Tims 2m mesh and SBuilderX.

Ok, this is now officially released, although there is some promotional stuff I need to do when I get back to work on Monday. (Last week was a bit of a nuisance, with the power company working on the lines for a couple of days, hopefully that's the end of power cuts until the next major earthquake.) For those who downloaded the patch installer which was posted here (link removed now) there have been a few changes to the installer, to highlight some necessary steps, but only one small change to the actual scenery itself -- I actually forgot entirely that I had a replacement flatten for...

QUOTE (Gavin Conroy @ Feb 20 2012,9:55 PM) All this stuff is pretty new to me, not even sure what acceleration is? Do I have to buy it? Have fond connections to the La-9 so would like to keep tha one :-) Yes is a addon to FSX which add the service packs , this is required for your current or possible future addon , I highly recommended it . The LA-9 Aeroplane Heaven model , now a freeware , did many hours in it running FS9 .

I re-added Nelson tonight including the update plus the four Fs-Creations airports (Milford Sound is terrific), works all fine, as far as I can judge. One aspect I absolutely love, all NZ Scenery I own - NZSI, VLC, RealNZ, and Fs-Creations - is quite framerate friendly. I compare this with aerosoft's VFR Germany series + airports. While I can fly over Auckland quite well with good framerates, I always have to take sliders back over downtown Munich (both being cities of comparable size). I have several German airports comparable (in rendition quality and size) to Nelson, having to struggle...
