QUOTE (toprob @ May 19 2014,8:08 AM) This is a combination of the original autogen plus the output from Arno's great Scenproc tool, which creates vegetation autogen from the LINZ topo data. I've been using this for the subscription areas, it takes about 5 seconds to autogen a typical subscription area, as opposed to the month it used to take... Of course it doesn't do it all, as I still need to add buildings and individual trees by hand, but it is the sort of tool which revolutionises scenery design! I've been looking at Scenproc and drooling at the potential....

...and with masking almost finished. Rob At Okarito and from my memory of a real life landing there in 2002 - there is a bend to the left of about 5 degs (on a landing to the south) on this strip. The road, about two thirds down and on the left of the strip, does have traffic on it and there is a sign warning drivers to "Beware of aircraft" Clyde Williams LEVIN

QUOTE (omitchell @ Apr 4 2014,10:45 PM) Could I possibly bribe you with the sacrifice of a virgin sheep to make a small patch for Auckland to add the new A380 terminal? Ok ok it doesn't have to be a sheep, it can be a goat or a squirrel or a badger or or or maybe a ninja possum hell bent on killing us all?? Ok the badger was a bit far fetched you can't get them here, but that possum keeps looking at me weird.... Maybe if I could choose the possum... (There's one that jumps down from the roof onto my bedroom deck every night, and scares the bjs out of me.) A few changes to...

QUOTE (emfrat @ Mar 16 2014,10:21 PM) Ian, that comment could be used to declare a mistrial. I think you should delete it. Nah, have no time for criminals, finally getting the convicts removed from next-door after all the complaints to the Police, the threats the attempted break ins and all hour parties , they should have be knee capped and sent to the Wellingtons Beehive to rehabilitated, maybe used as hard-fill for a Wellington runway!

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Mar 15 2014,11:37 AM) Have you wound down the autogen slider Scups Thanks Ian, - it was down after I got an OOM a little while ago but it seems to be stable at this setting with average 35fps and good VAS. I've added a pic of the new setting for comparison.

QUOTE (Snowman @ Feb 21 2014,12:34 AM) I never got Deane's NZHA Hawera scenery unfortunately, and i dont know where to find it nowadays. As for your wish list of FSX airfields, Cromwell Racecourse and Roxburgh were on my "to-do" list for FSX anyway, and ive added Pudding Hill ( even made a start on it). Great to hear Lawrie, I'll look forward to ticking a few more off the list! /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif />

Just to tidy this up - the CalClassic NZWB has an elevation of 109' and runway 7/25. The RealNZ Marlborough one is 82' and 6/24. Cheers

Orbx were working on an NZAA until the developer got sick about 4 months ago (hope he's on the mend). On their forum they said they'd keep people posted on its progress but they haven't and I got a rather patronising and unhelpful answer when I asked if there was any news. I guess nobody knows whether/when they'll pick it up again, - I imagine they're all very busy trying to get things compatible with P3D2 and new work has probably got put on the back burner. If NZAA gets the full OrbX treatment it'll be fantastic (especially for us Aucklanders) and I think a lot of...

QUOTE (toprob @ Jan 27 2014,6:54 PM) As I said, Across the Strait is just Real NZ Wellington, Real NZ Marlborough and a few missions. You can install Real NZ Wellington and the missions, but it wouldn't make sense to install Real NZ Marlborough if you already have it. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Cheers.

QUOTE (toprob @ Jan 26 2014,3:04 PM) You don't have any duplicates, by the look of it. The only issue is the WanakaRegionAlt.bgl, which should be WanakaRegionAlt.off. And that indeed fixed it!!! All I did was rename that file, and now the corrupt textures are gone. And the airport is still lined up correctly. Yay! Thanks a bunch!

A couple of people have pointed out that the manual included with the freeware download is actually from the disc version -- which comes with a big button which says 'install' -- so it can be a bit confusing. There's no need to extract the files from the installer, just open the manual, and then run the WgtnFSXSetup.exe installer, and follow the prompts.

There's a Prepar3D post on my development blog , and a call for a few more testers who are happy to install Real NZ scenery into P3D using a dual installer. If you are interested, please contact me. There are a few pre-test questions which I'd like you to answer. I've been including these in the email to testers, but I'll include them here to speed things up: Have you tried to install any scenery into Prepar3D so far? Real NZ scenery? FTX NZ? Vector Land Class? Other? Do you currently have FSX installed? Do you use FTX in FSX? Do you use VLC in FSX? Have you ever used the...
