Thanks for the super prompt reply! Worked like a charm, to be honest I am wondering how I didn't accidentally do that click anyway lol. Thanks for that, Marty. One of the things I've been coming to terms with is how I see myself without Godzone, but I am figuring out how to keep myself busy, and maybe I won't need one single thing to keep me interested and involved. Although a major part of my time is devoted to taking care of my grandson, I never wanted to only have that. (Although I get a lot out of that, more and more each week.) Today I've done a bit of scenery development, including some 3D design, plus a bit of 3D design and printing for the railway, and just finished some painting of some models for the railway. I've...

My NZCH installer tries to disable these two files by renaming them like this: ADE_FTX_NZSI_NZCH_GP_P3D.bgl.bak ADE_FTX_NZSI_NZCH_Markings.bgl.bak If the original files still exist, then this would explain the issue. You can try renaming these with the '.bak' extension and see if it helps. You were right, the original files still exist, so I renamed both files as instructed, but it didn't work, in summary I had to uninstall and install 2 times, because the first time your scenery didn't appear in P3D, only the second time when I also uninstalled the VLC libraries and installed everything...

Thanks toprob I thought I was going nuts ha ha. When ms2020 introduces helicopters I may move on from fsx but my simulator is a full scale MD500E. I have set my sim up with firefighterX and added a sling option to pick up liftable objects Really enjoy nz scenery and set up a base with object placement near my home in Upper Hutt Thanks heaps Rhys

I can remember taking photos at Rangiora a while ago, I've just checked the date -- 4 Nov 2010:) So it's been on the list for a while!!! At the moment I have a lot of ideas, but no firm plans. Still, never say never. Well, I'm meeting the instructor, weather permitting, on Sunday 6th - so you have about two weeks .... GO !!!! :)

I'm actually looking for a few people to test this, as I really need to know how the lights appear on different systems. Note that it won't fix the taxiway lighting issue, as this seems to be part of Prepar3d v5 at the moment -- not sure if it can be tweaked sim-side, but really there isn't much I can do with the actual scenery. To test the PBR-capable lights, I'll just send a quick ZIP file, which updates the VLC Libraries. I'll include a couple of screenshots showing how to do this.

I'm not aware of any custom Ashburton scenery apart from Godzone. Of course this will still work in FSX, although I had to do some searching to find a download. Luckily the VLC download pages are archived here. Although not custom, Orbx do a reasonable NZAS in NZSI, but the best 'modern' version would be the default in MSFS. There's a youtube video which shows the airport and town, although you should mute it, the constant stall warning stresses me out.... P.S. I see that the Godzone NZAS is coming up 10 years old.... a lifetime in FS.

A bit of searching and I found the problem. In case anyone else has a similar issue I found another instance of a Godzone_NZCH.xml file in the ProgramData/12bPilot/SODE/xml folder. The duplicate was Godzone_NZCH.bak but was still an xml file. I'm not sure how it got there but I was using the GSX editor to adjust some parking/vehicle positions at some point prior to noticing the change. Removing that file fixed the problem and I could reproduce the error by putting it back. On the bright side at least I installed NZCH with the surrounding PR scenery.
