Just the discussions on what everyone is doing/flying, tips and tricks, and opinions on add-ons and utilities is worth the price of admission. Also nice to have some real pilots along, so that I can learn how to really fly - not just be a wannabe computer pilot. Sunday will be bush flying around Neil's Beach area in South Island. Actually we flew straight back to Lake Karapiro, and continued onto Cambridge and Hamilton. Got to keep the natives happy. Jeff used to live there, and managed to fly over his old house. Regards, Dave

Usually every 2-3 weeks and Dave typically posts a new topic with the details. I wasn't on last night either; I was playing with VATSIM NZ over the weekend though, which was something new.

Now you have me completely confused LOL It will be this Sunday, so it's 5 March, which is probably what I had in the first place.

I did fully intend to join the flight, and I'd already been flying in the area beforehand, but shortly before the start time my family started up the barbeque:) This was a celebration for my ex-wife's husband, who managed to find a job here in Wellington. Definitely worth celebrating, if it gets them closer to finding their own place! I'd be keen for a group flight following WU12.

I was going to start next weekend, so that will be the first for this year.

...The live weather was bad, so spent part of the flight in rain clouds. .. Yep, sounds like the Waikato I remember! :)

Upgraded my Windows SSD on my PC to 1TB ... real easy. Flew for a day with no problems. But, damn, somewhere along the line, I managed to wreck one of the USB ports, and now I have got a 'USB Device over current status' error on POST. Managed to eliminate the fault, but it reappeared the next day, and has stayed there consistently, so I can't boot up now. I have looked on Google, Youtube, etc. Plenty there, but nothing has got rid of the error, and most sites ultimately pointed to a motherboard fault. After a few days of fault finding, I came to the realization that the problem is on the...

I still have this on my radar! I remembered last week and sat there dutifully for 15 mins waiting for others to join ... before checking and realizing I was a week early! :)

Could have done with another pilot ... got a bit lonely. :lol:
