I have FS NAV installed and it has worked brilliantly for me. I love it. What's more is that I got it for free. Every 30 downloads registers itself! I have never had any trouble connecting to the net with it. I am on 56k dialup and have not needed to change any of it's settings to make it work... sorry I cannot help! hmmmmm.

Using two monitors I have SB showing on the second monitor so it's not an issue, but perhaps, on Squawkbox, click Start / Options / Text tab and put a tick in the "Enable Automatic Window Focus Setting" and select a key to switch (I think it's tab by default). Ta I'll give it a go tonight Cheers Nunner

I am unsure whether you are trying to fly on Vatsim or the NZFF Multiplayer set-up that we have been discussing a lot as of late? IF you are on Vatsim (you connected as per the instructions here ) then, if you have any atc in range they will show on the right hand side of the squawkbox window in green. If there's nothing there then either there is no ATC on or you are not connected. Check the Squawkbox messages, does it say you are logged in? In this example there is Wellington Centre online, 123.70. You need to tune your Comm 1 Radio to 123.7 before you can communicate with the ATC,...

I guess this is why the default Multiplayer didn't really take hold .... Good old Microsoft can't get basisc TCP/IP and UDP protocols sorted. I'm clutching at straws here and these images will not probably match your set up but this is how to open ports (sometimes called 'Push Through', 'Pinholing' or 'Virtual Servers') using a DSE router. Open up the command prompt by clicking Start / Run then typing cmd then press enter. Type ipconfig /all Look for an IP address starting with 192.* 168.* or 10.* This is your LOCAL IP address of your PC, not your WWW IP...

Correct me if this is wrong but i'v noticed that if you load up a defualt ac then go into a addon other players don't have youl apper as the last defualt ac you were flying. For example if im flying a defualt moony (ithers will see me as a monny) then if I load up a A380 the other players still see the monney, so what you could do is load the default 744 before switching to the A380, then youd apper more like you really are. Not quite sure how true it is but I used to go to the msn gaming zone every weekend useing the defualt fs9 multiplayer, and this theory seemed to work for me. :)...

Thanks for the server link Matt, here are some screenies I took of us in the Redbull Extra 300l's: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. I didn't take very many as I was downloading stuff in the background and it was eating away at my fs performence, hence bad scenery and fps... but still fun all the same!

Apologies for my 'no show' over the weekend. Some time early Sat morn the very strong wind we had blew the main power cable off my house! Must have been ready to go being a very old cable,(the house is 130yrs old!) I figured it would cost less if I waited till Monday to get a sparky out. I'm glad I did he's charged me $327 to sort it out after estimating 'about a hundred'! yeah he looked like that monkey off the PG tips add too! How 'about a hundred' turns into $327 I have to wonder, I'll make him sweat for it and pay it in 3...

Yea well it wasn't too bad, about 10 aircraft did the flight, all arriving within about 10-15mins giving our approach controller a nice work out. And we had James keeping tower on its toes  . Overall not a bad evening, but room for improvement. Next leg is NZAA-NWWW on the 12/13th of August, but I'll keep you posted ;) . Alex

forgot its the final of Lost, so I might not be around. lol, I know this is a little off topic but I am a made LOST fan and think the final episode was crazy! It didn't answer any of my questions- just gave me about a billion more concering the plot. If you are interested, there is a good explanation of the storyline here: ;)
