Sadly my home cockpit has a few unservicabilities - the Elite transponder has a broken knob and I'm desperately trying to get either the ISG or PMDG FMC up and working in the Herc (After being caught embarrasingly unprepared departing Dunedin two weeks ago!! /icon_redface.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :whoops: border= 0 alt= icon_redface.gif /> ) However I plan to be there regardless!! And its great to see Adrian Brausch's Hercules and Orion models are still in widespread use despite being 8 years old! Its a real shame the new CT4 model is FSX only!...

QUOTE (mfraser @ Apr 5 2009, 10:07 PM) I just wanted to say a big 'THANKS' to the VATNZ guys for the awesome session hosted tonight - which happened to be my first foray into the VATSIM world. Hey Mat. Really interesting to read your comments as a RW operator and I bet the VATNZ guys will appreciate it too. I was in the B1900d you parked next to at NZAA tonite before I left for NZHN, it was an awesome turnout ay, think there were 5 aircraft nearing approach at Auckland at the time we were on the apron there. I'm only new to the online-ATC thing too, after more than a...

Update: there is ATC booked for all three towers and enroute thoughout the evening, so this is a great opportunity for pilots to enjoy gate-to-gate ATC coverage between three regional airports that often go uncontrolled. Event starts tonight at 7pm NZDT.

Yeah it can be a bit frustrating but I've generally found that when I'm actually in game it won't kick me....it usually happens in the server selection or when trying to join.

QUOTE (Matthew @ Jan 9 2009, 07:40 PM) Bear in mind that Squawkbox 4 is in public beta - there are bugs in the software - beta tests are about reporting those bugs so that they can be fixed. There are known issues related to using Squawkbox with Antivirus and Firewall software packages. I suggest you post on the VATNZ Forum , look at the official Squawkbox forum , or take a look at the Squawkbox sub-forum on VATSIM Forums . Specifically, this thread on VATSIM Forums looks like it may have the answer; If that doesn't work, or you would rather find a permanent solution, try...

Sorry that I didn't get a chance to reply last night. Ok, lets do the obvious first, look at Pete Dowson's Support forum for help. That is the official source for troubleshooting for WideFS. If you have no luck there, read on. Have you checked your firewall settings? I seem to remember in the manual you sometimes have to list the IP addresses of the computers being networked together. Do the computers have similar IP addresses? i.e. 10.0.0.5 and 10.0.0.8 or 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.0.9 for the above ranges the subnet mask would need to be set to 255.255.255.0 on both computers. If you...
