QUOTE Then use zoom and then shift + o and mouse to give that whole cameraman effect. Is that right? hope i make sense. Another fun way to do it, if you have the FS Recorder module installed, is to create a custom tower view anywhere you like using the ALT menu, then do a low fast flyby fast the tower location, and watch it back from that view using instant reply (make sure manual panning is not selected).

QUOTE (Trolly @ Apr 6 2008, 09:36 PM) Very nice, I've been flying around the cloudy Wanaka scenery myself today. What 206 is that, Owen Hewitt's? I've never been able to control helos as well as you demonstrated, the spins you recovered from would have been certain crashes for me- what sort of settings have you got your joystick configured to for that kind of flying? Yes that's the Hewitt 206, great model. All my settings are maxxed in the sim, which just means every slider is on the right. I'm using the same joystick as your avatar, and have wrapped a couple of...

QUOTE (Trolly @ Mar 8 2008, 09:05 PM) Awesome video, I've actually been doing something very simular today, flying a SU-27 and F-16's in formation (will post the tracks alongside screenshots later) around the desert out of Edwards AFB. Got the idea from Mike's awesome Russian aerobatic display video thread here . It says by IRIS at the end of the video. Isn't there a really decent freeware F-14 around made by the Japanese chap who built the P3K Orion? Anyone got a link for that? They made an F-18, not sure about an F-14. There is a great F-14 floating around, I used...

Thanks for the pointer Matt. FRAPS seems to have grown a little clunky in the past few iterations for me too, so it'll be great to have a simple installation with lower overhead. I didn't manage to read the writing in your video as I was sucked in to the action! Looked pretty good, Choo speak Rooshan??

QUOTE Andrew here are the offsets used for the video: // Track 2 $Offset: 15 0 0 $TimeOffset: 0.26 // Track 3 $Offset: 29 0 0 $TimeOffset: 0.50 // Track 4 $Offset: 47 0 0 $TimeOffset: 0.85 Cheers, those tiny increments make such a big difference in the formation performance, with one aircraft turning slightly after the other everything seems more fluid: I had to subtract some numbers off the X axis in the first offset (distance behind lead aircraft) to compensate for the time lagg, but it really works out tons better than before! Got any more recorder module...

QUOTE (Charl @ Feb 4 2008, 10:29 PM) Nice 3-wire trap... Um, SUBS I suspect you are supposed to hook up to , and use , the catapult for the off, rather than shoot across the cat tracks... you will remember that excellent post of yours, where the pilot picked up some baggage on the way B-) LMAO yeah you're the first to notice lucky there isn't any deck crew yet to get in the way. QUOTE (Trolly @ Feb 5 2008, 12:30 AM) Cool clip, reminds me very much of BF2 on the screen with nothing but a HUD to fly the aircraft :P I used the HUD only view so new pilots could see the...
