After the AN-2 I say it would be, spending here is kept to the very minimum , at the mo nothing for flight sim, only for the must haves and really needs .. Looking a great paint JK B-) truly I'm not sure if there was a SAAB in NZ.

I really did like that USAF 'Brussels' its great when you find a historical paint were the aircraft is named to a city, we have a few here after following the 'Operation Deep Freeze' , both US Navy and USAF. B-)

John Young is so far the one and only military AI modeller who from the start created all his models (minus 2) for both FS9 and FSX. He was one of the scenery creating guys of the famous ACG (Airfield Construction Group) team that you may know by their British RAF bases. John Young has very early mastered the art of AI modelling in a way that his later aircraft look comparable to many flyable ones.

I will not capture your thread by posting screen shots here. If you like to see some of his models captured by myself please have a look here.

His models always come with a paint kit. This is the list of what John has released:

  • Airbus Helicopters UH-72/H145M (Eurocopter) Lakota
  • Armstrong Whitworth Argosy
  • Avro Lancaster
  • Avro Vulcan
  • BAe Harrier
  • BAe Sea Harrier
  • Beechcraft B200 King Air
  • Beechcraft B300 King Air Series
  • Blackburn Buccaneer
  • Boeing 737 / AEW&C Wedgetail
  • Boeing 767 Military Variants
  • Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress
  • Boeing B-29 Superfortress
  • Boeing B-47 Stratojet
  • Boeing KC-46A/KC-767A/KC-767J/E-767 AWACS
  • Boeing P-8 Poseidon
  • Consolidated B-24 Liberator
  • Consolidated PBY Catalina
  • Convair B-36 Peacemaker
  • Convair B-58 Hustler
  • de Havilland DH.110 Sea Vixen
  • de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth
  • de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide
  • Douglas C-47 Skytrain/Dakota
  • English Electric Canberra
  • English Electric Lightning
  • General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark
  • Gloster Jarvelin
  • Handly Page Victor
  • Hawker Hunter
  • Hawker Hurricane
  • Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 Buchon
  • Junkers Ju 52
  • Kawasaki C-1/EC-1
  • Kawasaki T-4
  • Martin B-26 Marauder
  • Martin B-57 Canberra
  • Martin WB-57 Canberra
  • McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle
  • McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II
  • North American AT-6 Havard / Texan
  • North American B-25 Mitchell
  • North American F-86 Sabre
  • North American P-51 Mustang
  • Piaggio P-180 Avanti
  • Republic P-47 Thunderbolt
  • Sikorsky Black Hawk Family
  • Sikorsky HH-60 Pave Hawk
  • Sikorsky MH-60 Jayhawk
  • Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk
  • Sikorsky VH-60N WhiteHawk
  • Supermarine Spitfire
  • Vicker Valiant

Some of the WW2 aircraft have sadly never received the paints that they would deserve... If you are interested, just tell me, I would provide everything needed.

So many to choose from..
but to be honest, I prefer to fly myself, and use my own hi-res repaints as AI, as you can see in some of the shots above.
Meanwhile, I have been busy:
