A former test pilots views on AF447

An interesting talk from retired former test pilot, Commander Robert Johnson (retired).
This seems to be part of a series of TED talk type presentations organised by The Peninsular seniors group (California).
His views on ice crystal icing (especially with respect to pitot/prode icing) are directly at odds with current thinking on the matter by the manufacturers and regulators.
During part of the video there is a pic of this aircraft.
Are you able to guess what it is? It has some really nice and elegant lines.

Correct a F-3H Demon. You can see the resemblance to a Phantom.
I'd love to see one modeled in FS.

Back in the daze when I collected all things Alphasim ...I had one.
Virtavia may have taken it on, must check.
I 100% love all the aircraft from that time ....so much development.

About 60 nm. If you have the time take a look at the NOVA YouTube link. A very interesting demonstration of super cooled water. Very chilling if you could excuse the pun.
