One of my old bikes was my 1948 Series B/C 1,000cc Vincent HRD Rapide vee-twin with a 4-seater Sidecar, and trying to kickstart that bike with is failing Magneto and poor spark, was a crucifying affair only fit for the fit, strong, healthy and dedicated brigade!
It was the most over-complicated and troublesome of all my many British bikes at the time!....
...before the Japanese Invasion with all their hi-tech machines with 12-volt batteries and push-button electric start!
...never looked back since!....

My present four bikes are Honda and Yamaha, with their typical reliability...(and ease of starting!)...
