Yes I must be crazy alright .Just saw a list of all the planes I have on DCS , it is all of them ,and after yesterday it helps if you are to be able to understand DCS different installs.
Why are you on steam ?I mean I dont mind steam, never considered it for this sim.Maybe you should have installed it onto an SSD drive.
I had to install the open beta yesterday just so I could get my harrier. That took a while to realise i didnt have open beta on my machine .

How did you go with VTOL?I must be doing something wrong ,crashed several times trying to land vertically.Got off the ground when I lightned the loadout but still had no luck.Coventional landing was a real arrival, amazed it stayed in one piece.noticed the front gear would not retract in protest. I'll just keep watching all the how to videos.
Anyway if you have any tips on getting this puppy off the deck, I would be interested .

Thanks for the encouragement Splitpin :D

The air to air refueling is going quiet well. I have managed to connect to the tanker. This is quiet a big thing when you actually pull it off. Any of you guys who can do this stuff, I take my hat off to you, its a tricky business. Currently I am having trouble staying on the hose once hooked up.My record for staying attached is around half a minute.Looking round for things to blame for my poor performance. The Joystick has come under a lot of criticism ,even though it has served me faithfully for many years. It is now an instrument of torture when trying to hook up to the mother ship. I try hard to keep formating after attaching my Harrier, tiny little movements of my tiny little sidewinder throttle, equally tiny movements of the very loose ,now it seems joystick. On closer inspection old sidey is deffinately showing its age.Coming up with terms like, to much freeplay ,or stick wobble.Yes I found the culprit,Its not my bad piloting skills at all, it's the dam stick.

You need a larger throttle which gives you greater range will make it easier for refuelling.

Its pretty good little aeroplane.Nice work on the air refueling Subs.Wish I could master this .Its a bit like carrier landings ,you need to keep practicing a bit or you loose the knack.
Lots to look forward to in the next few months by the looks. The merge, the new planes, the merge, the new Vulcan engine(one day)and even another map,did I mention the merge. Its exciting times for DCs alright :D

Just starting to get into DCS now that I have a computer to run it. What do you guys reckon are the must have addons. Not so much in terms of aircraft (I already know what I'm going to get) but in terms of sounds, gfx, terrains etc
