Sounds Air Ai Flightplans

Postby airnz515 » Mon Jan 04, 2016 1:47 pm

Hi.

Not sure if this is the right place to be posting this but anyway, I was wondering if there where ai flightplans for Sounds Air. I have painted the whole Caravan fleet (ZK-PDM, SAA, SAN, SAW and SAY) on the HTAI C208B and am onto painting the pilatus fleet. I have tried to create my own flight plans but the flight numbers from flightradar and flightaware are not there and some routes dont even make sense. ZK-SAW doesnt even show up on any of those websites. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Nathan

Hello Nathan - found this on Avsim. It is included in a file named small_new_zealand_carriers.zip, but it might be quicker to just search for Rob Corp.

RomeoCharlie's CreAItions: Sounds Air flightplans April 2012
____________________________________________________________

Here are FS2004 AI flightplans for the New Zealand regional carrier Sounds Air.

Practical stuff
_______________

1. These plans have been made using Don Grovestine's AIFPv2. I recommend it as the best way to compile plans. It can be downloaded from http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=AIFP
2a. If you use TTools to compile plans, please change the aircraft speeds in the aircraft.txt file to 200 and then compile.
2b. If you are an FSX user, you will need to convert these FS9-format plans. You can do this either with AIFPv2 (see above) or the FS9-FSX convertor from Peter van der Veen - http://aifs2.pvdveen.net/?download=FP_FS9_FSX.zip
3. Repaints:
A repaint for the Sounds Air Cessna C208B Grand Caravan by Symon Long is available from his site at www.longsite.co.uk or by searching for htai_c208b_sounds_air_sl.zip at Avsim.com
Always follow the original modeller's and the repainter's readme files when installing textures.
4. Info:
Airline - Sounds Air
Callsign - SOUNDSAIR
Parking code - SDA
5 Small print - due to the limitations of the FS AI engine, it is not always possible to 100% replicate an airline's real-life flying schedule. Consequently, some legs may have to be altered or left out to make the whole plans work.

Legal stuff

The granddaddy of NZ AI is still the GNZLAP, especially if you own the HTAI Cessnas.
You might find something useful in there.

At flightsim.com:
FS2004/FSX GNZLAP Redux
Name: gnzlapre.zip
Size: 87,642,459 Date: 05-14-2009 Downloads: 615

FS2004/FSX GNZLAP Redux - The Great New Zealand Light AI Project. A collection of all previous packages released over a 2.5 year period and is the final edition of GNZLAP. This brings to the NZ skies over 250 AI aircraft in the sub 5 tonne MTOW class. It is a stand-alone package containing textures for 118 payware Cessnas from HTAI, 130 complete freeware AI planes, flight plans, AFCAD files and startup flight to help spot AI traffic. Package assembled by Charl du Toit.

Bit of a way down the road... however: Nathan did you upload your Caravan repaints somewhere?

The PC-12's popped up on AVSIM a few days ago, and I found an updated set of AIG FP's without too much trouble, too!
I dropped them into the GNZLAP traffic file and amazingly they showed up.
Does anyone actually do any flying within NZ any more? we don't really see too much discussion about that.
So there they were, right where they were supposed to be, always gives me a kick....

I'm assuming PLZ is an airframe in transit.

And this one turned the sky quite Orange

Yeah... the shot with the B1900D in it was supposed to remind me that there's a little update due.
I guess these are all Bombardier and ATR now.

One thing I did say many many moons back was the shear change in performance running it on today's weapon systems.

Probably does run well, my Core2Duo from 2006 does fine too.

I've put out a request to a sympathetic ear for a repaint of the regional airliners, don't see any new Black Fern versions out there.

Thanks to Sean Gregory who supplied links to the ATR's and Dash at
Air New Zealand Link - jcai.dk
Everything in flightsim has already been done, just a question of finding it!
Next is the FP bit, I assume only the above 3 are now flying the regions.

You're welcome Dorian, nice to see someone still interested in the traffic!
The ATR and Dash traffic can be made to work, I used an old VOZ AI FP for now.
I've seen them stack up at Wellie, but not quite like this:

... and while there, added a bit of Jetstar action also.

Now let's see what happens next month with the Regionals.

One thing that can be said , is at least the AI behavior is a lot more sensible than the early days when your the one with the permission to land and there are two other AI's on track to land or seem to use little runway or use the entire runway... the 'Traffic 360' is atrocious for this.

Hey guys,

Been awhile since I've popped in here, I'm still using FS9 every now and then mainly due lack of spare time and also less and less NZ stuff being released to get excited about!

I wasn't aware the NZ Link turboprop fleet was repainted into the fern livery, looked in all the usual places but never found anything until now. Just wanted to confirm these repaints can be used in FS9?
Good to see the repaints for the soundsair pc-12 fleet too!

Cheers!

Yes, they are fit for FS9, the way all good AI is :)

Charl, do you have the link to the AIG flightplans for Soundsair? I've tried searching the AIG site but have come up with nothing. Are they fairly recent and include NZWS and NZAP?
Cheers!
