Oh just to note: The forums that are pinned and closed means that they are finished and have been uploaded to Avsim....the ones that are still open are 'in progress'

Its a little daunting to see all those open forums!!!

At this stage my priorities are:

Kaipara Flats- 99% done
Spring Hill- 20% done
Parakai- 5% done
Whenuapai- 1% done....I'm unsure if ill continue with this as a fully fledged photoreal scenery. Will have to see.
Plus my work on the New Zealand vector landclass etc.....

HI Timmo - great Whakatane Airport scenery (and Coromadel Strip)..have had an issue though when I added Whale Island Photo real......its now joined by a huge chunk of land to the mainland ? I then added the 20m mesh and topo installed but this didnt change anything. Any clues?

Cheers

Hi Naki- Yeah that was my bad....I think it was caused by me not using the -addtocells' tag when I compiled the flatten for the helipad at the top of the Island. There should be a patch linked from the main download which fixes it.

Either get it from Avsim or Flightsim.co.nz

Hi Tim
Having just returned to flight-simming from major home construction works that have diverted my attentions, I am like the rest of the simming community devastated and horrified by the loss of Avsim and wish them all the best in their reconstruction efforts.
My question to you is whether you would consider uploading your scenery to Flightsim.com in the interim as I guess any new Avsim library will be a while coming?
As you know I have an interest in the Kaipara flats and Springhill and have missed your upload of KF whilst otherwise engaged!

Hey Timmo can you help me fix this problem, I just installed "combo scenery of NZ" by SimPilot and when I flew into Kaipara the airfield was in a big hole but the buildings were up a bank? Its obviously the software I just installed cos it never was like that before. The same thing happened when I flew into Springhill and so far it hasn't happened to anyother airfield. Do I need to reconfigure or whatever the terrain or the airfield elevations? Heres some pics:

what priority do you have the combo scenery installed to? Try placing it below the other addon scenery? Naki reported the same problem however I now have the 20m mesh and don't have the problem. I haven't installed the topo component of it though so that may be what is causing it?

Heres what I did to try and find solution
1st- uninstalled Kaip addon and simpilot Result: all good but very boring. Alt of airfield:113.7ft
2nd- default with Kaip addon. Result: fine and boring except for the really good addon smile.gif. Alt 113.7ft
3rd- Kaip addon and Simpilot Topo(either way on priority gave the same result) Result: All fine except extra road into airfield which doesnt matter. Alt 113.7ft
4th- Kaip addon and Simpilot topo+mesh(either way on priority gave the same result). Result: Airfield in a hole at alt of 113.7ft and the outside terrain was at 134.8ft?
I managed to fix the problem at Springhill by changing the airport elev and putting a "flatten polygon" to the same alt as the mesh around the airfield on my freeware ADE. But when I tried to do the same with Kaip and try to open 'Kaipara Flats NZKF.bgl' these error messages appeared:

Hmm I think I used FSXPlanner for Kaipara flats- Technically the compiled bgl should be standardised but it appears the two programs can't decompile each others bgls.

you could be opening the wrong file. It could be a placement or library file or something.
