A stark reminder...

Postby Fozzer » Tue Jun 05, 2018 8:20 pm

....of just how fragile that thin crust is, that we all stand upon, floating upon a sea of hot, liquid magma!...>>>

Just like the thin skin on a Rice Pudding!

All my Chums in NZ will be very aware of the vagaries of the twin clump of rocks that they live upon!

I think i prefer the lava moving at a football field distance every hour , to the pyroclastic flow at 1000c and 700km per hour .... either way, we are just spectators.
All the technology in the world cant stop this ...puts us humans , squarely in our place ... at risk.
