:D I remember a story about an Irish restaurant where the specialty of the house was 'Soup-in-a-basket'....there was a great vogue at the time for serving everything 'in-a-basket'. These days it is wooden trenchers, which have been banned here because they are naturally unhygenic.
..by; "basket", I mean the dried Tagliatelle is/are rolled up into a tight ball and popped into the boiling water to; "unfurl"...LOL...!
We can purchase the (wet) ready-cooked version, but it has a limited; "use-by" life.
I prefer it dried to keep longer!...
I remember the old; "Chicken-in-a-Basket" at the roadside, etc, Pubs! Sat outside on the lawn and watching the children playing on the swings and slides, and enjoying a glass of cool beer and a wicker basket full of chicken and chips!
I don't think anyone died of Wicker Basket Syndrome!....
