Ta Marty!
After spending the past 28 years, every day, exploring the World, (mostly California!), in Microsoft's various Flight Simulators, it makes a welcome change, now and again, to explore the real landscape at ground level, with both my own video rides and also the various Youtube Motorcycle Videos.
Route 66 in real life!
The best of Both Worlds!

..narrow roads, high hedges, and all!.... :wink2: ...!

Cheers, Marty!.... :D ...!

Last Saturday's trip in the late October sunshine!...>>>

Getting cooler/colder, and the leaves starting to fall from the trees. A sad time.

Another one of my usual countryside explorations...>>>

The remains of the original Roman Road crossing the City, and the remains of the Hereford to Hay Railway line.

Much of our present English road system was paved by the Romans over two thousand years ago, and much of it can still be seen in places!!

...(The railways appeared much later).... ;) ... ;) ...!

Much more of both to come, in videos!

Finding long lost and abandoned places I remember from my past times; Roads and Railway lines!

Memory Lane stuff!

The final part of the exploration of the old; "Roman Road" (A4103) in Hereford City that I remember motorcycling in the 1940's and onwards!

Part 3:

Little of it left now, as shown in this video.

Remembering all the amazing results of the road-building, etc, work, that the Romans accomplished in Britain, two thousand years ago!
(They used pebble-stones then, instead of Tarmac!)...LOL...!

Many of my North American and Canadian Biker Chums are laying up their Motorcycles for the Winter season now!
But my trusty steed is the only means of my daily transport, so, come rain, shine...or even snow. we still have to keep going, with a cheery smile and a happy song...and dream of Summertime!.... .... ....!

Enjoy the Trip!.... ....!

Whilst most/all of my Motorcycling chums from the upper reaches of North America and Canada have laid up their trusty steeds for the Winter, myself and Daisy (Honda CMX250C Rebel) still need to go shopping every day, no matter what the weather throws at us, even in the depths of Winter!... ....!
During a dry spot, a couple of days ago, we travelled to Mr Sainsbury's shopping emporium via a secret back entrance (Ooh-eerr!... ...) to avoid the main road heavy traffic....

Join us, for another exciting shopping trip!... ....>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5uar25Ab_A

Ta, Dean!
Lovely days are few and far between for us now, as we approach the depths of Winter! At the moment it's mostly wet and windy, with temps around the mid 50's F. Still to cool for me to be comfortable on my Bike! I have to wait for gaps in the weather...warm and dry gaps!
Many thanks for watching, Dean!

Two more trips on the same day!.....>>>>>

Morning:

Afternoon:

The weather in our Northern Hemispherical's is getting decidedly chiller, so any warmer time for a Motorcycle ride is a good excuse!

Take a trip with me and Daisy! (Daisy and I).... ;) ...!

Not sure why this is such a hypnotic watch... may be the sight and sound of a short-shifting motorcycle!
Around here (I surmise) our breakfast runners spend all of Friday night and Saturday removing the baffles from the Harley exhaust.
Then Sunday morning they attempt to stuff a piston down the aperture they created.
The rest of the weekend must be spent congratulating themselves on again avoiding The Law.

I have contemplated installing a lie-flat blowup doll that pops up in the road when it hears better than 120 dB :)

It's a; "little boy stuff", Charl, which I have enjoyed since the age of 16 in 1950 when I got my first Driving Licence and my first of my many motorcycles!

Fresh air and freedom at the age of 85!

...a bit like a Sopwith Camel!

(Many of the Pilots at my Local Airfield ride Motorcycles to the Airfield).

I love the fact that this NZFF Forum Thread has collected so many 2-wheeled enthusiasts...to keep the Forum alive and kicking!

...all to the better!

Interestingly.... :wink2: .....

..all this Two-wheeled stuff is just as popular on another of my regular Flight Sim Forums which I visit every day.

https://forums.simviation.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=33 ...>>>>

https://forums.simviation.com/phpBB3/vi ... 3&t=170020

So there's got to be something said for keeping various Forums ALIVE with specialised subjects!

How about a "Food/Cooking" Thread?...LOL...! ....!

Paul....Cooking and Motorcycling..and other stuff...!.... ...!
