Hey guys (and gals) - been a real long time I know! Lengthy gap in a move from Auckland to Tauranga and loving every minute of it here. What a great place to live! (Hi Lawrie, will "invade" you soon :))

Awwww kinda sad re the Vulcan's last flight. The "club" spent millions keeping the Vulcan in the air - what a beautiful airplane and years ahead of its time. Likewise, I hear the Concorde may fly again (model with the least flight hours and MILLIONS of pounds raised).

But now, the mainstream media is talking of new Mach 5 - 10 aircraft in our near future... Hmmmm, Thunderbirds Are Go! :)

CONCORDE

Postby Ian Warren » Tue May 31, 2016 7:39 am

This is one that was slipped to me this morning, you may have seen the Captain John Hutchinson a commentator on the 1990 Farnborough Airshow footage, this Concorde footage is dated but brilliant.

Now this is a movie I'll will have to sit back later and watch, an old 1960's 70's (in colour) B-17 one with some real corny acting in it, looks like fun , I recognize the main character from the 30 minute TV series that run around 1975 'The Rat Patrol', Christopher George as the lead in that.
